Tardiness of more than five minutes will result in losing your time slot. Times are available in 15-minute increments: Friday 8AM 8:30PM Saturday 8AM 11:45AM Practice Room Practice Room Practice Room Practice Room B121 B124 B125 B126

Each entry will be allowed the allotted time as stated by the National Fine Arts rules. You must be present at the time your name is called to be eligible to participate. All individual time conflicts have been worked out, but we are aware that some conflicts will arise if a room gets behind schedule. Missing seeing your friend in a human video is not a conflict nor is your preference of the time of day you re scheduled to present your entry. We can only reschedule conflicts that pertain to categories overlapping less than 8 minutes. As you look at the approximate times of your entries and see that you may have to be in two places at one time, check with the Conflict Resolution desk for a card to be given to the emcee in the room of the presentation. You will be given a time at the end of that division for your entry or you will fill in a vacant time slot. No changes will be made for an entry outside of that category s time frame. Second Round: Female Vocal Solo Sr, Human Video Ensemble Large, and Short Sermon Sr divisions will have two rounds. The names of those selected for round two will be posted in the sanctuary and on PFYouth.com after 8pm on Friday. Follow PFYouth on Twitter and Facebook for updates. Each room will follow the set schedule. No entries will be performed before their assigned times unless it is approved from the registration official. All division use three evaluators. The scores will be added together and a total raw score will determine the rating. We do not use an average. Entries that receive a Superior with Invitation rating will be invited to the National Fine Arts Festival in Anaheim, California on August 7-11, 2017. Scholarships for participation in the Fine Arts Festival are not awarded by the District Youth Department, but rather by individual Assemblies of God colleges. Follow us on Twitter and Facebook for more information, pictures, and posts about the Festival. THERE IS A NEW RULE THAT APPLIES TO EVERY CATEGORY THAT INCLUDES MUSIC IN THEIR PRESENTATION: Before beginning the presentation, participants must introduce their music selection(s) by stating the title(s), name of the artist/composer, and arranger (if known). If the piece was composed or arranged by the student, that should be stated. Introductory comments DO NOT count toward the setup or presentation time limits. These comments must be minimal (not an opportunity for other comments like a testimonial or any justification for choosing the song(s), 15 to 20 seconds is sufficient). Please follow this example: Hello, my name is (or) our group name is and I/we have chosen to use 'Here as in Heaven' by Elevation Worship (and song #2, and song #3) for our presentation. THE ABOVE RULE WILL BE FOLLOWED AS WRITTEN AT THE NATIONAL FINE ARTS FESTIVAL. AT THE 2017 PEN FLORIDA DISTRICT FINE ARTS FESTIVAL WE HAVE CHOSEN TO AMEND THIS RULE IN ORDER TO PRESERVE TIME. WE ARE ASKING THAT EACH ENTRY IN A CATEGORY THAT INCLUDES MUSIC COMPLETE A 4X6 CARD THAT STATES THE ENTRY NAME AND CATEGORY, SONG TITLE / ARTIST / COMPOSER / ARRANGER FOR UP TO 3 SONGS THAT ARE ALLOWED. ONE STUDENT WILL READ DIRECTLY FROM THIS CARD AND THEN HAND THEIR CARD TO THE EVALUATOR JUST PRIOR TO BEGINNING THE SCHEDULED PRESENTATION. 4X6 CARDS WILL BE AVAILABLE AT THE REGISTRATION DESK FOR THE ENTIRETY OF THE FESTIVAL.

Q: What if I have a conflict in a performance time? A: Please know that a conflict is not that you will miss someone else s entry, even if they are family. We would love to honor every conflict but we have over 3000 entries. If there is a legitimate conflict, please go to Conflict Resolution. We can only reschedule conflicts that pertain to categories overlapping less than 8 minutes. Q: When will I get my evaluation sheets? A: At the close of the Celebration Service one leader from each church can pick up the evaluator sheets for your group at the Atrium info desk. A line will form during the service, but forms will not be distributed prior to dismissal. Forms that are not picked up will be mailed to the church the week following the Festival. Q: What if my evaluation sheet has a mistake? A: Please scan evaluator sheets and email all questions about scores to youth@penflorida.org. Do not lose your evaluator sheets as we do not keep a copy on file. Scores will not be adjusted at the Festival, but submitted and looked at on Monday following the Festival. Q: Where can I obtain First Aid? A: First Aid is located in the hallway across from Kids Theaters 1 & 2. Q: Is there a place I can practice? A: Practice rooms are in the preschool area. Check in for a time at the service desk in the practice room area. Q: Where is lost and found? A: Lost and found is located at the registration/conflict resolution desk. All items left after the Festival are taken back to the District Youth Department in Lakeland. If you lose something important like a brand new digital camera or phone...we may have it. Q: When can I pick up my art / photo? A: Please pick up your art, T-shirt, or photo immediately before the Celebration Service on Saturday. Q: I submitted writing prior to the Festival, will I get that back? A: Writing submissions will not be returned. Just a few recommendations to make this weekend great! Drink lots of fluids! It is hot out there and running from event to event can dehydrate you. When you are at your hotel, sleep is a good thing. You can t perform to your best ability unless you are well rested. Don t forget to eat! The church has several areas of concessions and there are area restaurants too. Take a deep breath and relax...you need to breathe in order to do your best this weekend. Be flexible! It s a new year and there may be new venues you ve not presented in previously. There may be some adjustments that need to be made. Keep the facilities clean!!!!! We are so thankful for Faith Assembly and the facilities that they provide to us. Do you very best to take care of the space around you. Pick up trash and your belongings! Please NO food or drink in the gym, Youth Sanctuary or in the Main Sanctuary! No coolers or outside food can be brought into the buildings...faith Assembly has made numerous areas of concessions available. Tailgating is permitted outside of the building and in the parking lots. PFYouth

Thank you to Orlando Faith Assembly and Pastor Carl Stephens and his staff for serving diligently pre and post festival and allowing us to host the District Fine Arts Festival. It is because of their tireless hours that we can put on this event and make it what it is. Thank you to Lenore Casal who is behind the scenes praying for this event, dreaming for this event and doing so many other things that contribute that go unseen. And, even more importantly, is my partner in ministry encouraging, supporting and believing in all that we do. Thank you to Tammy Stanley who worked countless hours on everything from the smallest details to the greatest conflicts in the schedule and everything else that needed to be scheduled for the Fine Arts Festival she is the best there is and everyone should buy her a Starbucks card to thank her! Thank you to Mike Justice for all of his input and helping oversee all the music categories and coordinating evaluators. Thank you to Joe Barnoske, Natalie Barnoske, Margot Larson, and Wallace Phaire for helping onsite as our evaluator coordinators in Communication, Drama, Art and Dance. Thank you to Cale Matthews for taking the lead with the facilities and all of the needs for this event. You are crucial to this festival. Thank you to Matt Larson for helping throughout the year and for being a great leader for this event with all that you have to oversee. Thank you to Tim McDaniel, Michael Burroughs, Mandy Brandt, Shirley Hill and Tabbatha Taylor for the many hours of tabulating evaluator sheets locked away behind closed doors. We could not do this without you! Thank you to the evaluators for coming, sacrificing your time to help, and through your encouragement and evaluation, pour into the lives of the students of Pen Florida. Thank you to all the ministry schools that have helped us staff the event with some amazing students that are running around room to room, keeping rooms staffed and serving in all areas needed. Thank you to each participant who have been practicing for months prior so that you use your talent with excellence for the Glory of God! Thank you to all of the churches who participated and believe in your students and give them an opportunity to share their God-given talent. Thank you to all the youth pastors who encourage their students to participate, who coach, love, believe in and spend hours helping students use their talents. Thank you to all of our Sectional Reps who sit around a table and dream and pray with the PFYouth team for this event. Thank you to our District Superintendent Terry Raburn and Athena who believe in, pray for and support the youth of this district.
