EVOLUTION SERIES The best tracking accuracy EVOLUTION SERIES A ship rolling and pitching in the sea proves to be a difficult dynamic environment. Marine satellite antennas require gyro stabilization in order to accurately receive and transmit data. These stabilized antennas can only accommodate a small amount of pointing error before being rendered unable to communicate with the satellite. With the Evolution Series, EPAK has developed a satellite tracking system that combines two different technologies: an EBF (Electronic Beamforming) gyro and a 3D gyro module. The fusion of these two ways of conceiving satellite tracking is a revolutionary step that hugely increases the performance in terms of pointing accuracy and connection stability, giving you a seamless signal, regardless of weather and sea conditions. Fig. 2 While the EBF Gyro (red + yellow) allows an excellent pointing accuracy within a narrow angle around the beam's centre (red + yellow), the 3D gyro module (blue) has an unlimited tracking range. In combination they make the Evolution System both accurate and stable.

DS6 Pro DS9 Pro DS13 Pro The main differences between the antennas are their dish diameter, tracking speed and LNB equipment. "R" stands for River The systems of the R-Series have been developed for calm waters, especially inland waterways. Due to their optimized tracking and re-lock characteristics they are perfectly matched to the challanges of river cruises facing lots of signal blockages from bridges and other obstacles. "S" stands for Sea The S-Series antennas are equipped with the Evolution Technology. Their tracking system is based on a combination of the EBF gyro and a 3D gyro module which ensures the most precise orientation to the satellite. This technology allows them to reach a faster tracking speed and compensate for stronger ship movements. They are typically used on yachts or commercial ships that travel on open sea away from the coast. "DS" stands for Deep Sea The antennas of the DS-Series belong to the Evolution Series as well. Additionally the DS antennas feature an automatic tracking skew and an increased elevation range. These systems guarantee reliable signal quality even under the hardest conditions in harsh waters.
