NOTES ABOUT THE CAST DON CATALINA... whose acting career goes back to high school days, appeared in the University Speech Dept. productions of "Richard III," "Man in Armour," and "Flower of Yeddo." We are happy to welcome him to the Civic Theatre stage for the first time. BEVERLEY OGG... a University student too, also played in "Richard III'' here as well as in "Midsummer Night's Dream" at Ohio Wesleyan University. At the Dunes Summer Theatre this past year she played many roles, including the title role in "Anastasia" and Elma in "Bus Stop." J. HENRY OWENS... appeared in the Ypsilanti Players' "My Three Angels," "The Happy Time" and "I Remember Mama," as well as in the DAC productions of "Captain Carvallo" and "The Physician in Spite of Himself." Ann Arbor Civic Theatre audiences saw him as the professor in "Bus Stop." (Henry, by the way, is really a professor at Eastern Michigan College.) TOM LEITH... gained a bit of fame in Civic Theatre's "The Teahouse of the August Moon"; he's also been seen in the "Merchant of Venice" and "The Night of January 16th." RUSS AIUTO... set a record last year by appearing in four Civic Theatre productions-"caine Mutiny Court-martial," "The Seven Year Itch," "Bus Stop," and "Merchant of Venice." JO VOIGE... appearing for the first time on our stage, played in "January Thaw" at Ann Arbor High School. JERRY WINSKI... new to Civic Theatre, was seen in Michiana Summer Stock in "The Teahouse of the August Moon" and "Time Limit." TOM EDWARDS... has appeared in "Someone Waiting" for the Davenport Civic Theatre, as well as "The Crucible," "Volpone," and "A Full Moon in March" at Wayne State University. He, too, is a newcomer to our stage. CLAN CRAWFORD, JR... last year's President of Civic Theatre and currently the Treasurer, is making his Ann Arbor stage debut this week. Clan, a lawyer and City Councilman, usually works backstage as an expert set builder, or in the box office. We have welcomed University student participation in the past and many have been active in Ann Arbor Civic Theatre productions, but for the first time the Civic Theatre is presenting, with one exception, an all-student cast in "A Hatful of Rain." -Ted Heusel, Director.

And too, many of them have benefited from activity in the Theatre Work-, shop program which includes production of one-act plays, play reading sessions, and instructional courses in the various theater arts such as acting and set design (the two current courses). r would like to extend a friendly invitation to members of our audiences to share these stimulating experiences with us by joining us in our working, playing, creating, learning and socializing on the other side of the curtain. Lack of previous experience or training in the theater need be no barrier, though we naturally also welcome to our ranks those with developed theatrical talents and backgrounds. Information about Civic Theatre membership and activities may be secured easily by calling NOrmandy 2-2400 or writing to Post Office Box 87. CHARLES C.
