7th Grade Summer Reading Packet 2017-2018 The more that you read, the more things you will know. The more that you learn, the more places you ll go. Dr. Seuss Attached, you will find the contents of your summer reading packet for 6th grade entering into 7th grade. You will be required to read 2 books: The Giver by Lois Lowry and George Washington, Spymaster: How the Americans Out Spied the British and Won the Revolutionary War by Thomas Allen. (For your information The Giver movie is NOT the same as the book.) As part of your summer reading, you must read 3 books. You have been provided with a short list of choices. Please DO NOT go off the list, or it will not count. If you are unsure, please email me at jdamelio@stelizabethparish.org. In addition to the reading, you will be required to complete a worksheet for each of the 3 books that you read one for The Giver, one for George Washington, Spymaster: How the Americans Out Spied the British and Won the Revolutionary War, and 1 more for an additional work of fiction. You will have a total of three book reports to turn in at the beginning of the 2017-2018 school year. I have included in your packet the worksheets to be completed. Please follow the directions! Please stay on top of your reading requirements for the summer. This will be a part of your ELA grade. Again, if you have any questions at any point over the summer, please email me.
