PROJECTION SCREENS - SECTION 11132 1.0 - GENERAL 1.1 Related Documents Drawings and general provisions of Contract, including General and Supplementary Conditions and Division-1 Specification sections, apply to work of this Section. 1.2 Summary This Section includes front-projection screens. 1.3 Submittals A. Product Data: For each type of screen specified. B. Shop Drawings: Show layout and types of-projection screens.. Include the following: 1. Location of screen centerline relative to ends of screen case. 2. Location of wiring connections. 3. Connections to suspension systems for pendant and recess-mounted screens. 4. Anchorage details. 5. Details of juncture of exposed surfaces with adjacent finishes. 6. Frame details. 1.4 Deliverv. Storage and Handling Do not deliver projection screens until building is enclosed, other construction within spaces where screens will be installed is substantially complete and installation of screens is ready to begin. 2.0 PRODUCTS 2.1 Front-Projection Screens A. Materials and Viewing Surface of Front-Projection Screens: Provide screens manufactured from mildew and flame resistant fabric of type indicated for each type of screen specified and complying with the following requirements: 1. Matte-white viewing surface with gain characteristics complying with FS GG-S-00172D (1) for Type A screen surface. 2. Material: Vinyl coated glass fiber fabric. 3. Edge Treatment: Black masking borders. 4. Size of Viewing Surface: 6' H x 8' W. B. Electrical Operated Screens, General: Provide manufacturer's standard UL-Iabeled units consisting of case, screen, motor, controls, mounting accessories and other components necessary for a complete 11132-1

installation. Remotely control operation of each screen to comply with the following: 1. Single-5tation Control: 3-position control switch with metal device box and cover plate for flush wall mounting and for connection to 120-V, ac power supply. Provide key operated switch. 2. Motor: Provide either motor in roller or end mounted motor. 3. Motor in Roller: Instant-reversing motor of size and capacity recommended by screen manufacturer with permanently lubricated ball bearings, automatic thermal-overload protection, preset limit switches to automatically stop screen in up and down positions, and positive-stop action to prevent coasting. Mount motor inside roller with vibration isolators to reduce noise transmission. 4. End Mounted Motor: Instant-reversing, gear-drive motor of size and capacity recommended by screen manufacturer with permanently lubricated ball bearings, automatic thermal-overload protection, preset limit switches to automatically stop screen in up and down positions, and positive-stop action to prevent coasting. 5. Screen Mounting: Top edge securely anchored to rigid metal roller and bottom edge formed into a pocket holding a 3/8 inch diameter, metal rod with ends of rod protected by plastic caps. C. Electrically Operated Screens without Ceiling Closure: 1. Units designed and fabricated for recessed, surface or suspended installation with bottom of case entirely or partially open under screen compartment, to allow lowering and raising of screen, but closed under motor compartment, and as follows: 2. Screen Case: Wood sides and top with metal lined motor compartment, factory primed and constructed with single or double top as standard with manufacturer. D. 3.0 - EXECUTION 3.1 General: A. Install projection screens at locations indicated to comply with screen manufacturer's written instructions. B. Install front-projection screens with screen cases in position and relationship to adjoining construction indicated. Securely anchor to supporting substrate in a manner that produces a smoothly operating screen with vertical edges plumb and viewing surface flat when screen is lowered. C. Test electrically operated units to verify that screen, controls, limit switches, closure and other operating components are in optimum functioning condition. 3.2 Protecting and Cleaning Protect projection screens after installation from damage during construction. If damage occurs despite such protection, remove and replace damaged components or entire unit as required to provide unit(s) in their original, undamaged condition. 11132-3

FOOTBALL SCOREBOARD - SECTION 11485 1.0 - GENERAL 1.1 Section Includes A. LED football scoreboard 1.2 Summary A. Provide the equipment specified and de)1oted on the drawings per the manufacturer's recommendations. 1.3 Submittals A. Submit product literature for approval prior to ordering materials for fabrication, modification and subsequent delivery to job site. 1.4 Deliverv. Storage, And Handling A. Product delivered to site B. Scoreboard and equipment to be housed in a clean, dry environment. 1.5 Quality Assurance A. For outdoor use. B. Obtain each type of scoring equipment and displays through one source from a single manufacturer. C. ETL listed to UL Standards 48 and 1433 D. CSA listed. E. Scoreboard meets all FCC Class A requirements. 1.6 Warranty/Service A. This product is warranted against defects in materials and workmanship for a period of five (5) years from the date of invoice. This includes factory repair service for parts covered under warranty. Complete warranty details are included in the Instruction Manual shipped with each unit. B. Scoreboard utilizes energy efficient 100,OOO-hour rated LED displays requiring no regular maintenance. Rear-access panel provides trouble-free access to the electronic module for ease of replacement and service. Universal, plug-in. electronic modules are 100% interchangeable with any of the manufacturer's LED scoreboards. 2.0 - PRODUCTS 2.1 Manufacturer A. Sportable Scoreboards Inc. B.
