DID YOU KNOW The Skagit Symphony is celebrating its 36 th birthday this season! We are a non profit organization, made up of 98% volunteers, passionate about music and our community. The upcoming season will boast an impressive lineup of four traditional symphony concerts as well as chorus events, school events, and our wildly successful family concert. Our 60 volunteer orchestra members rehearse with the Symphony conductor every week during the concert season. In 2015, the Family Concert filled all 650 seats at McIntyre Hall; the concert is free to all children and students. More than 1300 fifth graders from all over Skagit Valley attend our annual School Concerts at McIntyre, bussed to the Hall at no cost to schools. Each year, the Skagit Symphony performs for nearly 3000 concertgoers from all over Washington State. These patrons tell us that our hometown welcome, exceptional music, and state of the art McIntyre Hall are what draws them to our performances each season. Concert ticket sales cover only about 25% of our costs; 75% of our funds come from our generous community through donations, sponsorships, grants, and planned giving.
WELCOME Our mission is to inspire appreciation of symphonic music through concerts, educational programs and community involvement. The Skagit Symphony welcomes, appreciates, and thanks you for your support!
