The subject of the poem is the Attica riots of Sept. 1971, the great black mark on Gov. Rockefeller's record when he called in the National Guard instead of negotiating. The leaf has been rolled and subsequently heavily creased, two corners turned, some toning mostly verso, and though no real wear; still only good.the bibliography lists this as a %rst appearance of the poem, and does not give an edition size, but scarce signed.. Chambers D2. [13020] $50.00 23. Boyle, Kay. TESTAMENT FOR MY STUDENTS: and other poems. Garden City: Doubleday, 1970. First edition.
