This provides for overload monioring of all isolaion ransformers (3, 15 o 8 kva) for he IT power sysem in medical applicaions by seing he pickup value accordingly. If he curren value exceeds he se pickup value, he red ED I is illuminaed, and boh respecive changeover conacs (31-32-34, 41-42-44) fall back ino normal posiion afer he se delay ime v (0.1 20 s); he green ED sops lighing. Temperaure monioring sysem To monior he ransformer emperaure, emperaure sensors (1 6 C hermisors according o DIN 44081 / 44082 or NC conacs) are conneced o he erminals P1 - P2. When he pick-up value of one of he sensors is exceeded or he sensor circui is inerruped, boh respecive changeover conacs (11-12-14, 21-22-24) fall back ino normal posiion, he red ED is illuminaed. Insulaion monioring sysem The erminals / and / are conneced o he respecive lines of he IT power sysem. If he IT ransformer has a cenre apping or a sar poin, he erminals / are preferably conneced o his poin. The erminals and should be conneced wih separae lines and possibly no in he same place (a leas no a he same erminal) of he IT power sysem o allow for safe recogniion of an inerrupion in he measuring circle. The insulaion resisance of he IT power sysem agains ground is measured beween he erminals / and /. If he ground faul resisance R E falls below he pickup value R A of he line isolaion monior, he red ED A will be illuminaed, and he wo respecive changeover conacs (51-52-54, 61-62-64) fall back ino normal posiion. Design and Mehod of Funcioning On inerrupion of he measuring circui, he wo respecive changeover conacs will likewise fall back ino normal posiion, and he red ED MK will be illuminaed. Afer correcion of he error (R E R A, measuring circui conneced) and jumpered erminals T1 T2 (= error no sored), he changeover conacs will change ino work posiion (correc saus), and he red error EDs will sop lighing. If you wish o sore errors, remove he jumper T1 T2. In his way, also shor-lived errors as e.g. a emporary deerioraion of insulaion, for example by ouching of a line or unreliable conac making in he measuring circui may rigger a sored alarm The oupu conacs remain open also afer he error has been correced. The ype of he error can be seen in rerospec from he illuminaed error ED A or MK. The error memory can be rese by pressing he inernal or exernal rese key, or by swiching off he auxiliary volage. By pressing he inernal or exernal Tes key, a deerioraion of insulaion is simulaed in he measuring circui (= R E approx. 40 kω); hus, he correc response of he isolaion monior is checked. The varian IR9112/711 comprises an 11-sage ED chain for indicaion of he curren insulaion resisance of he power sysem. By means of differenly colored EDs, he insulaion saus in he range of 20 kω... 1 MΩ is indicaed. In his way, deerioraion of insulaion can be deeced even before an alarm is riggered.
