Intermediate Reading Public schools are free. You do not pay for classes or books or for the school bus. However, students need some school supplies. Pencils and notebooks are school supplies that you must buy. The teacher sends you a list of school supplies that students need for the year. Some supplies are to write with, such as pencils, pens and markers. Some supplies are to write on, such as paper, note cards, and notebooks. Students organize their papers in folders or a binder. Supplies for projects include crayons, scissors and glue. Students need a ruler and compass for math. Each student is asked to bring some supplies for hygiene such as tissues and antibacterial soap. When you buy school supplies, there are many choices. You can buy one pencil or a box of pencils. You can buy one marker or a box of markers.
