DAY 2 Saturday 9 th February 2019 Guided tour of Perfumery Fragonard Paris - possible to be conducted in French or English Boulangerie visit possible to be conducted in French or English Paris is the home of the baguette, that world-famous bread which has become a symbol of all things French. You are invited to step behind the counter of a typical artisanal French bakery, a boulangerie, and enter the kitchen to watch a demonstration by the bakers of how a perfect baguette and other breads are made. A baguette and croissant goodie bag will be available free of charge for you to take with you at the end. DAY 3 Sunday 10 th February 2019 Louvre Visit only possible to hire audio guides or arrival in French or English The Louvre, originally a palace but now one of the largest and most visited museums in the world, is a must-visit for anyone with a slight interest in art. There are 35,000 paintings, sculptures and relics displayed over 60,000 square metres of exhibition space. DAY 4 Monday 11 th February 2019 Interactive French language class E3 Paris MFL Apprentice Activity is Reading, writing and speaking in French Divide your group into teams and allocate an adult leader as their assessor, and allow them to appoint a project manager for each of the tasks and watch them compete for points as they strive to prove themselves worthy apprentices for TV show host Félicie Fureteuse. Choose how many of the ten tasks you wish to do and set off for the heart of the city where they will enjoy treasure hunting, problem solving, story-telling and observation tasks as well as a range of other activites in world-famous locations in the French capital. Student task cards are presented in the target language with support options available in each of the ten zones for groups or teams who need them but they come at a points cost in the Apprentice process, so teams will use them only in the last resort. Free time to explore Montmartre and the Sacre Coeur Visit only The Basilica of the Sacred Heart dominates the city skyline thanks to its position on top of Montmartre, the highest point in Paris. The Basilica of Montmartre was dedicated to atone for the sins of the Paris Commune. It s a building of great beauty reflecting the hopes, fears and attitudes of fin-de-siècle France. Behind the Sacre Coeur is the Place du Tertre with its artists' colony. DAY 5 Tuesday 12 th February 2019 Interactive French language class French Cinema Private Screening Conducted in French with English subtitles Lost in Frenchlation's private screenings of French films with English subtitles in a typical Parisian cinema offer groups the opportunity to learn about French language, culture and style through one of the country's most wellknown arts! You can request movies relevant to the group's curriculum (subject to availability) and film-based educational questionnaires are offered with every screening. DAY 6 Wednesday 13 th February 2019 Montparnasse Tower visit only Experience the very best views of the Eiffel Tower and the rest of Paris from the 56th floor of the Montparnasse Tower and Paris s highest roof terrace. Teachers and students love this visit as it s a very safe environment from which to understand the layout of Paris and admire its beautiful architecture. Both the roof terrace and the 56th
floor have recently been refurbished, offering an enhanced visitor experience. On the 56th floor, you will find interactive facilities to discover Paris, such as touch screen viewpoint tables and multimedia kiosks, permanent exhibition and photo gallery, a souvenir shop and the 360 Café the highest café lounge in Paris.
