Important Safety Precautions Cleaning - Unplug the AC power from the mains supply before cleaning the product. Use a damp cloth to clean the product. Do not use liquid cleaners or aerosol cleaners. Use a soft damp cloth to gently wipe the product when it is dirty. To protect the product, do not use a chemical cloth to clean it. Chemicals may cause damage or cracks in the casing of the product. Water and moisture - Do not expose the unit to wet or damp conditions. Do not place vases or any other water-filled containers on this product. The water may spill onto the product causing fire or electric shock. Ventilation - The vents and other openings in the casing are designed for ventilation. Do not cover or block these vents and openings since insufficient ventilation can cause overheating and/or shorten the life of the product. Do not place the product on a carpet or other similar surface, since they can block ventilation openings. This product is designed for built-in Rack mount, Desk- top installation; ensure proper ventilation is provided and the manufacturer s instructions are adhered to. Heat sources - Keep the product away from heat sources such as direct sunlight, radiators, heaters, stoves and other heat-generating products (including amplifiers) unless mounted correctly in a Rack. To prevent fire, never place any type of candle or naked flames on the top or near the product. Servicing - Do not attempt to service the product yourself. Removing covers can expose you to electric shock and other dangerous conditions. Maintenance should be performed by the manufacturer or a suitably qualified person. 3
Introduction The 3D mini HDMI Analyzer is a tool for checking both source and display devices. With touch button control and built-in OLED (Organic Light Emitting Diode) it can show status of both input and output device. The major purpose is to analyze input source info-frame and output sink EDID. Another purpose is to use built-in pattern to test output device. Operation Controls and Functions - Front Panel 1. HDMI IN: This slot is where you plug your input source equipment with HDMI cable for source signal sending. 2. DC 5V: This slot is where you plug the 5V DC power supply into the unit and connect the adaptor to an AC wall outlet. 1 2 Rear Panel 1. SERVICE: Use a D-Sub (RS232) to 3.5mm (phone jack) cable to perform the software upgrade 2. ARC OPTICAL OUT: Optical digital out for testing the ARC function of a TV connected to the HDMI. Connect to the optical digital input of an audio system (such as an AV receiver) to monitor the audio output of the attached sink device. 3. HDMI OUT: The HDMI output connects the Analyser to a Sink or Source device to enable testing and checking the capabilities of the system. 1 2 3 5
Top Panel 8 1 2 3 4 5 6 7 1. POWER: Press the power button to turn the device On/Off the LED will turn Blue when powered On, and Red when in standby mode. 2. INT/EXT: Press this button to toggle between the built-in internal pattern generator and the external source device. The LED will turn Blue when the external input is selected. To retrieve the external EDID information, an external source device must be connected; otherwise the device will only generate the test patterns to display on the TV/Monitor. 3. PC/HD/3D: Press this button to cycle through the test patterns (PC/HD or 3D timings). The OLED display will show the timing currently selected. 4. AUDIO: Press this button to select the audio sample rate from LPCM 2CH, LPCM 5.1CH and LPCM 7.1CH 48kHz or LPCM 2CH, LPCM 5.1CH and LPCM 7.1CH 96kHz or LPCM 2CH and LPCM 5.1CH 192kHZ. Note: Press and hold the Audio button for 3 seconds to select the Audio mute function. 5. M : Press this button to enter the main menu and/or to confirm the selection. 6. PATTERN (UP/DOWN): Press these keys to select the patterns or when in OSD mode, press these keys to select the option. 7. TIMING (UP/DOWN): Press these keys to select the required timings. 8. OLED DISPLAY: This displays the relevant information about the attached devices. Please see section for details. 6
OSD Menu Press the M button on the analyser to display the OSD. Press Pattern Up/Down Symbol to highlight the required option Press these keys to select the required timings. Press M to confirm the selection. System Info Press the System Info. Button to display the EDID information for any connected device. When an output display is connected, press this button repeatedly to bring up the patterns for display (please refer to section for pattern details). Press the M button to check the input/output device information and software version 7

OLED Display 1. SAMPLING RATE: The Analyser supports audio sampling rates of 48/96/192kHz, the display will show the signals current sample rate. If external audio is selected the OLED will display BYPASS. 2, AUDIO CHANNELS: The Analyser supports audio channels from LPCM 2, 5.1 and 7.1 CH. If external audio is selected the OLED will display BYPASS. Note: When the audio button is held down for 3 seconds, both 1 & 2 will show AUDIO MUTE. 3. ARC: Audio Return Channel, when this function is selected the OLED display will show ARC ID when an ARC signal is present. 4. V TIMING: Please refer to the Timing Table on Page for details of the supported timing and V sync. 5. H TIMING: Please refer to the Timing Table on Page for details of the supported timing and H sync. 6. 3D FORMAT: Only when the 3D pattern is selected, the OLEDdisplay will show the pattern details. Note: When in EXT Mode, the OLED display will show the input H/V Sync with the timing frequency and 3D pattern if any. 9

Connection Diagram DVD or BluRay In order to check both the Source and Display device s information, press the M to display the System Information.
