Reservations are required and will be confirmed on a firstcome, first-served basis. All students who attend should be in grade 9 or higher and have a serious interest in the rehearsal and/or appreciation of music. Attending students will observe a complete rehearsal from beginning to end. All who attend should remain for the entire two and a half hour rehearsal. (There is a 20-minute break approx. halfway through) If you plan to attend more than one open dress rehearsal, please submit a separate reservation form for each concert date. AGE 18 AND UNDER NON-PROFESSIONAL ORCHESTRAS YOUNG ARTIST FESTIVAL OF Open to exceptional young instrumentalists and vocalists in the state of Texas, the Young Artist Competition offers competitors the opportunity to win a $5,000 scholarship, courtesy of the Lowe Foundation, and the chance to perform as soloist with the Fort Worth Symphony Orchestra. Apply for the opportunity to perform at Bass Performance Hall as part of the second annual Festival of Orchestras. Selected orchestras will perform throughout the day, and these performances will be free and open to the public. The event will culminate with a regularly scheduled Symphonic performance by the on evening (this performance is ticketed as usual). COMPETITION ORCHESTRAS SEMIFINAL ROUND: MAR 10 9:00 AM 12:00 PM FINAL ROUND: MAR 10 2:00 PM 5:00 PM Applications are due December 4, 2017. Please visit fwsymphony.org/education for more information. Semifinal and final round auditions are by invitation only and will take place on stage at Bass Performance Hall. Applicants must be current residents of the state of Texas.
