Familiarize yurself with the area that yu are assigned t and the Huse Ushers that are wrking near yu. Knw where the restrms, elevatrs, bx ffice and cncessin stands are lcated. Smile and greet patrns with a friendly Gd evening, r Welcme t the Symphny If yu have a patrn with a ticket r seating issue, please refer them t a LBS Huse Manager, Huse Ushers r direct them t the Patrn Services table in the middle f the lbby. If a patrn needs any kind f physical assistance, find a Huse Manager r Huse Usher t help them. DO NOT tuch them. Upn arrival at 5pm, check in with the Operatins and Educatin Manager Take flwers frm the lading dck t lbby Place signs accrding t diagram prvided by Frnt f Huse Manager Bring prgram bks frm backstage ut t Terrace Lbby Cmplete any prgram stuffing if requested Familiarize yurself with the theatre, lcate restrms (including disabled restrms), telephnes, Assistive Listening Devices, exits, bx ffice, patrn services table, cncessins, etc. Infrm Frnt f Huse Manager f any issues that may need attentin befre pening drs lighting, faulty seats, lst and fund, etc. Cnfirm that n bxes r persnal articles are left in public areas ORIENTATION The Huse Manager leads an rientatin prir t each Classical Cncert fr Overture and Huse Ushers This rientatin includes infrmatin abut the cncert, timings, and late-seating instructins One member f Overture will summarize the rientatin fr the ther High Schl Vlunteers Anther Overture member will distribute cmplimentary tickets and cllect stubs After the rientatin, Overture Members assign High Schl Vlunteers t their lcatin in the hall OPENING THE LOBBY At 6:30pm the lbby shuld be in readiness fr the patrns, the Huse Manager will give the cue t pen drs Remember: First impressins are lasting impressins. Please make eye-cntact, smile and say Gd evening At 6:45pm, the Orchestra level seating is available fr the Pre-Cncert Talk. Overture members will assist the Huse Ushers in pening bth sets f drs at each f the Orchestra level entrances. Fr the pre-cncert talk, patrns all allwed t sit in any seat f the rchestra sectin. Actively stand at the drs t the hall, smiling and ready t greet all incming patrns After the secnd set f chimes at 6:55pm, please assist the Huse Ushers in clsing all drs (inner & uter) except fr the last uter set twards the back f the theater (Drs 1 & 7). Pre-Cncert Talk will begin but late arriving patrns may still enter thrugh the last uter set f drs During the Pre-Cncert Talk, patrns may sit in the rchestra sectin nly. Patrns waiting t be seated fr the cncert in the Lge r Balcny can wait in the Lge r Balcny lbbies until 7:30pm when regular seating begins At the end f the Pre-Cncert Talk, Huse Ushers and Overture members shuld pen all the hall drs n all levels PATRON SEATING Unless therwise nted, all cncerts are ticketed with reserved seating Actively meet the patrns and ask them if they need assistance finding their seat If they need help, read their tickets ut lud befre escrting them t their seat Quickly return t the entrance area and lk fr the next patrn t arrive If a seating prblem ccurs remain calm and helpful and d ne f the fllwing: Cntact a Huse Manager r Huse Usher Refer the patrn(s) t the Patrn Services table in the center f the lbby Fd and beverages are nt allwed in the perfrmance hall. There are 3 sets f chimes sund in the lbby befre the cncert ntifying patrns the cncert will sn begin: 15, 10 and 5 minutes prir t the cncert start time After the secnd set f chimes, at 10 minutes t curtain, please infrm patrns that the cncert is abut t begin and guide them thrugh the drs t their seats D the same at the 5 minute chimes As sn as the Cncertmaster enters t tune, all drs shuld be clsed After assisting the Huse Ushers in clsing the Theater drs, please g t yur seats and enjy the cncert, at the intermissin check with the Manager f Operatins and Educatin t see if yu are needed.
