National Employment Outcomes* 1 in 3 graduates find employment in a field relevant to their course degree. 65% of students find work within 8 weeks of completing their degree with 70% finding work within 15 weeks of graduation. 34% find full time employment while 39% choose to freelance or work contractually. 57% of positions were found as a result of direct networking, direct calling,internships or lecturer contacts. Graduate Success. Timomatic - Music Graduate Tim Omaji, AKA Timomatic studied a Diploma of Music at JMC Academy. From the age of 10, he had a burning desire to become a musician and entertainer. At the JMC Academy Sydney campus launch, he was awarded for outstanding contribution to contemporary music performance. Brett Morris Film & Television Graduate Brett currently works at Capacity Studios in California and has previously worked at Foxtel with his impressive sequences featuring 3D Animation and Motion Graphics. Daniel Brown Audio Graduate Daniel Brown is a recording engineer at the renowned Trackdown Studios where he has contributed to such films including Happy Feet, Jumper, Australia, PS I Love You and popular Australian television shows including The Voice. Mickey Pye - Music Graduate Since graduating Mickey founded the 300 student Bathurst Academy of Music and most recently won the Toyota Star Maker competition in Tamworth, joining the ranks of country music stars like Lee Kernaghan, Beccy Cole and Keith Urban. Heads of Department. Sean Foran Music and Songwriting Sean performs in a successful trio, Trichotomy and has performed around the world, collaborating with a host of excellent musicians. Passionate about Jazz music, Sean has taken his music to the Tokyo Jazz Festival, Bremen Jazzahead and has toured China, Canada and the UK. As an educator he has taught at the Leeds College of Music, a range of schools in Brisbane, and delivered master classes in Australia, the UK, Canada and Indonesia. Jennifer Ussi Film and Television Jennifer s short films have reaped an impressive array of awards from major international film festivals around the globe. Her debut feature film Girl Clock, which she co-wrote, produced and directed appeared in QLD cinemas for 9 weeks, and has recently been sold to Foxtel and several international territories. She continues to write with her co-writer, Adam Couper, and is in development on her newest award-winning script, Fixing Jack. Mark Dickie Animation and Games As a freelance computer graphics generalist, Mark has gained expansive experience working in animation, motion graphics and asset creation for games, television and the web. Outside of the classroom, he is involved in a number of independent games development projects. Mark credits his success to his commitment to lifelong learning, continued engagement in his artistic medium and collaboration with other highly talented creative practitioners. Ragnhild Nordset Entertainment Business Management Ragnhild is a writer, performer and recording artist hailing from Norway. Over the last decade she has been working both within the acoustic and the electronic scene in Great Britain, leading and partaking in projects reaching from the core of Liverpool, to the shores of Ibiza and the musical underground of New York. Additionally, she has been involved in the UK s biggest festivals, including Leeds, Reading and Latitude, as operations coordinator for stage production on their main stages handling productions for high caliber artists from all over the world, such as Paolo Nutini, Beck, Blink 182, Portishead and Chic. 11
