Technical Rider for Fly dates Scott Dupre - Technical Director/Audio Engineer scott.dupre@yahoo.com 508.207.7289 To ensure the highest quality performance, we ask that the primary house engineer be present during load-in, concert, and load-out. The AMB mix engineer will need access to the house audio system during load-in and set up. Please have the house engineer communicate with the AMB with any questions well before the date of the event. All technical questions should be directed to Scott Dupre (scott.dupre@yahoo.com or 508.207.7289). Stage Requirements Minimum 24 ft. length x 20 ft. deep when at all possible. Two (2) separate, 20 amp power circuits with isolated audio grounding. The AMB features 10 musicians on stage. Mix Engineer The AMB will provide a Band Engineer to mix all AMB performances. In the event of union or venue restrictions, the Sponsor will be responsible for the appropriate arrangements that will allow the AMB s engineer to mix the concert. The Sponsor may only provide a mix engineer when arranged in advance and approved by the AMB. Mix Location The mix location for the AMB shall be located on the main seating floor, in the audience seating area, just off the centerline of the house (depending on the room and existing structures). The location shall be close enough to the stage to provide a good sound representation for the Band Engineer and allow good sightlines for visual communication with the band. Locations that are not level or are under the balcony, in the balcony, or in a control room are to be avoided. One (1) 20 amp power circuit with isolated audio grounding shall be available at the mix location. The venue will need to accommodate an audio snake run from upstage center to the mix location of a maximum of 150. If the AMB s audio snake cannot be run through the house due to safety or fire restrictions, a working 32x8 channel audio snake, together with a CAT-5 cable, must be provided, in place, for use by the AMB. Lighting The house must supply sufficient lighting to create a bright, neutral wash across the whole stage. There should be enough front light to avoid shadowed faces from down fill wash. Video and Projection The AMB requires the use of a 3 minute video to be played during the performance. This may be played back from a computer as a Quicktime movie file or from a DVD player. The movie features audio content. In addition, the AMB requires the use of projection for lyric slides during the performance. These are available as Power Point, Keynote, and Jpeg files. Please provide a technician to run the video and projection elements. The video and slides may be obtained from Scott Dupre ahead of time by request, or upon arrival. Outdoor Venues Outdoor Venues require special consideration. The performance stage must be safe, level, and stable. It should not move or rock back and forth when walking or jumping on it. It must be sheltered from direct sunlight and inclement weather. The mix location shall be located on a clean, hard surface off of soft ground, Annie Moses Band~ PO Box 1905~ Columbia, TN 38402 scott.dupre@yahoo.com ~508.207.7289
Technical Rider for Fly dates Outdoor Venues cont dirt, sand, or mud. A riser (8 x8 ) may need to be employed to accomplish this. It must be sheltered from direct sunlight and inclement weather by a canopy or other covering, and may need to include walls in the event of blowing rain or sand. The AMB s audio snake must be run along clean, dry ground from the stage to the mix location. A run through excessive dust, dirt, or mud is to be avoided. Cable ramps may need to be employed to keep the snake clean and dry. Alternatively, the venue may provide a working 32x8 channel audio snake, together with a CAT-5 cable, in place for use by the AMB. A high quality sound system must be provided for all outdoor spaces. Outdoor venues require a great deal more power and sound output than an indoor performance space. Please consider this when supplying a sound system. The sound system and components must be in good working order. We ask that the house engineer and/or producer consult with the AMB well before the date of the event. scott.dupre@yahoo.com or 508.207.7289 *Actual requirements vary by performance.
