A Classic Introduction to Type Resource By Amazon Customer This is a classic and valuable resource for any professional working with Jungian psychological type. During my years of delivering introductory type workshops, conducting individual career counselling and executive coaching sessions and, now, writing about psychological type, Mary's little yellow book has been a staple in my resource library. Over time, I have purchased more than 300 copies for distribution to my clients. And I've been fortunate to witness uncountable "aha" moments when clients across cultures - including Europe, Asia, the Americas and Middle East - read their type description in this book. The beauty of You've Got Personality is the depth of research garnered by the author over 20 years of educating and accrediting type professionals in Australia, her ability to harness this research into type descriptions written in the language of each type and her delivery in making the complex simple for the reader. The author has an outstanding reputation in the global type community for her engaging and unique delivery of workshops based on contemporary uses and views of type. In particular, she presents knowledge of the individual from a "whole type" perspective, as illuminated in this book and achieved by deciphering patterns of commonalities and differences for each type over a 20 year longitudinal study. I highly recommend You've Got Personality as the best introduction to type book available. 0 of 0 people found the following review helpful. Best MBTI resource around! By Dyson I had lost this book and was so happy to find it again on Amazon! Each of the 16 Myers-Briggs types has only two pages, but those seem to contain everything you'd need to know about any particular one. I've read several books and scores of webpages on MBTI and despite how thin it is, this book is my favorite among them. It's the most concise resource you can find and I've found that people are amazed at its spot-on accuracy in describing their type. *For more information on individual preference (like why two people of the same MBTI type can be so different from each other in their motivations/reactions), many people are finding insight beyond the MBTI by checking out the Enneagram--any book will do as an introduction! Cheers! See all 2 customer reviews...
