ABOUT FLUID AUDIO Our founder, Kevin Zuccaro, has built a career in speaker development working for some of the biggest names in the business, while maintaining a focus on the end-user. Roles at JBL and Cerwin-Vega in the 1990s gave Zuccaro a foundation in speaker design for Hi-Fi, portable PA and cinema projects. He later put this education to work, managing the entire studio monitor segment for Avid/M-Audio. With a desire to realise studio monitors that existing manufacturers simply were not making, Kevin left this coveted position at M-Audio to establish Fluid Audio in 2011. Technical know-how, coupled with his own needs as a guitarist armed him to create a range of innovative designs aimed squarely at you the musician, the producer, the engineer, the music lover! Fluid Audio s range consists of monitors built from the ground up; not snared by convention or the way we do things around here. Each component of a speaker represents an opportunity for improvement. This focus on optimisation led Kevin to innovate in amplifier, port tube and tweeter wave guide design - but most dramatically in the voicing (or sound quality). These innovations serve Fluid Audio s aim: to provide the best experience out there, all at an affordable price. The studio monitor, like any speaker, is meant to reproduce the entire landscape of the recording (in all 3 dimensions). Fluid prides itself on the importance of speaker imaging - or how the speaker presents a realistic soundstage. When you close your eyes and listen to a pair of speakers, you don t want to hear two boxes with speakers in them. You want to be transported to the recording, where you can pinpoint exactly where each musician and instrument is on the stage. As a recording or mixing engineer, you want the same in reverse - to be able to place each instrument where you want it to be in the mix. PAGE 2
The Fluid Audio difference: Do you sometimes see descriptions of monitors that read like a science experiment? It seems some manufacturers are competing to be the most complicated, not the best. At Fluid Audio, we want the end product to be extraordinary, not the ingredients! You won t find beryllium or titanium here. No space age materials or fairy dust, just proven technologies and components put together to sound great. We realise that for the modern musician or engineer, space can be at a premium, so we aren t about to waste any of yours. Maximising every inch of footprint, we design enclosures that are all about function, with features like front-mounted controls and Bluetooth. We ve come a long way, but at Fluid Audio we re still passionate about sound and we know you are too. See your local dealer to hear the Fluid Audio difference. Of course, these components break the ordinary mould through great engineering. With more than 23 years designing speakers, Fluid Audio offers a range of monitors that not only sound great, but also provide the accuracy you need in a reference monitor. Our work with component placement and waveguides in particular have resulted in monitors with drivers that truly work in concert, resulting in remarkable imaging and a true sense of depth in your mix. BLUETOOTH SERIES C5BT & C5BTW The Bluetooth-enabled C5BT is an affordable, 2-way monitoring system with a 5 driver and the latest Bluetooth technology with aptx support. aptx has revolutionised the Bluetooth Stereo listening experience by significantly reducing the bit rate without affecting audio quality or introducing latency issues. With the ability to connect wirelessly to most handheld devices, computers and controllers, the C5BT is the perfect out-of-the-box solution for those who want high quality and well balanced audio, accessible with the click of a mouse button or swipe of the finger. It even has an optical input for connecting your favourite gaming console, as well as a subwoofer output. Frequency response: 54 Hz 22 khz Inputs: Bluetooth, TRS (balanced) and RCA (unbalanced) Amps: 2 x 20 watts (40W total) Signal-to-noise: > 90 db (typical A-weighted) PAGE 7
FADER SERIES F4, F5 & F8S Being the smallest of the family has advantages like convenience. The Fluid F4 s compact size allows flexible placement, without losing great sound. Frequency response: 69 Hz 22 khz Inputs: TRS (balanced), RCA (unbalanced), Aux Amps: 2 x 15 watts (30W / side, standby capable) Signal-to-noise: > 90 db (typical A-weighted) Packed with features, the Fluid Audio F5 studio monitor is the next logical step in the development of the affordable studio speaker for recording professionals and DJs. Frequency response: 49 Hz 22 khz Inputs: TRS (balanced), RCA (unbalanced) Amps: 40 + 30 watts (70W / side, standby capable) Signal-to-noise: > 100 db (typical A-weighted) The Fluid F8S supplies 200 watts of room-filling bass and extends the frequency response of your monitoring system down to 30Hz, for accurate mixing of big sounds. With a click of the included footswitch, you can turn on the subwoofer, and audition your mix with bass extension, then easily turn it off for comparison. Frequency response: 30 Hz - 200 Hz Inputs: XLR, TRS (balanced), RCA (unbalanced) Amps: 200 watts (standby capable) Signal-to-noise: > 100 db (typical A-weighted) PAGE 8

FADER SERIES FX8 & FX8W The Fluid Audio FX8 is a seriously compact 8 monitor, with a unique 2-way design mounting the tweeter and woofer on exactly the same axis, radiating sound from a single point. The result is outstanding imaging and depth that allows you to hear those little details in your audio files more precisely, all with the smallest footprint possible. Due to the symmetry of the design, these monitors offer a wide, even sweet spot whether placed upright or on their side. Using a 4th order crossover, the drivers in the FX8 are phase coherent, allowing a seamless transition between woofer and tweeter. Frequency response: 35 Hz 22 khz Crossover frequency: 2.4 khz Inputs: XLR, TRS (balanced) and RCA (unbalanced) Amps: 80 + 50 watts (130W / side, standby capable) Signal-to-noise: > 100 db (typical A-weighted) PAGE 11
FADER PRO FPX7 Noted for it s breathtaking reproduction of detail, the FPX7 produces quite simply the most accurate monitoring experience in its price range. With its lightning fast response, the FPX7 s AMT tweeter provides detail and depth only seen in the top tier of studio monitors. What makes the FPX7 so unique, however, is that the AMT tweeter is mounted coaxially in the centre of the woofer, making this speaker the first of it s kind. Since all of the frequencies coming from the tweeter and woofer radiate from the exact same position in space, this feature gives unmatched off-axis response and phase coherence. Behind the revolutionary tweeters, the FPX7 is backed up by beefed-up Class AB amplifiers with a performance toroidal transformer for superior noise characteristics, optimised composite cone woofers and a complex, DSP controlled crossover. This provides a perfect blending of the woofer with the AMT tweeter, and ensures that there is effectively zero variance speaker-to-speaker. Innovation & attention to detail make the Fluid FPX7 a natural choice for the serious musician or sound engineer. Frequency response: 42 Hz 27 khz Crossover frequency: 3.5 khz Amps: 90 + 50 watts (140W / side, standby capable) Signal-to-noise: > 100 db (typical A-weighted) Input impedance: 20 k ohms balanced Input sensitivity: 85 mv pink noise PAGE 12
