Manuscripts (including notes and references) should be typed on one side of the page only, double-spaced with wide margins. Since manuscripts are refereed anonymously, we ask that the author's name and institutional affiliation be kept on a separate cover sheet. Handwritten symbols, uppercase vs lowercase letters, ambiguous symbols (1 vs 1, o vs O and 0, etc.), type style changes, and non- Roman characters should be identified in the margin. "Notes" that are merely page indications should be placed in the body of the text (e.g., [5], p. 29), nontrivial notes being cited in the text by a superscript number and grouped after the manuscript text, but preceding the references. References should be numbered and alphabetized by the author's last name and then, for multiple works by the same author, by date. References should include the article title, unabbreviated journal name, volume number, year, and page numbers. Book references should include the publisher, city, and year of publication.
