I'm right by your side each night and day and within your heart I long to stay. My body is gone but I'm always near. I'm everything you feel, see or hear. My spirit is free, but I'll never depart as long as you keep me alive in your heart. I'll never wander out of your sight - I'm the brightest star on a summer night. I'll never be beyond your reach - I'm the warm moist sand when you're at the beach. I'm the colorful leaves when fall comes around and the pure white snow that blankets the ground. I'm the beautiful flowers of which you're so fond, the clear cool water in a quiet pond. I'm the first bright blossom you'll see in the spring, the first warm raindrop that April will bring. I'm the first ray of light when the sun starts to shine, and you'll see that the face in the moon is mine. When you start thinking there's no one to love you, you can talk to me through the Lord above you. I'll whisper my answer through the leaves on the trees, and you'll feel my presence in the soft summer breeze. I'm the hot salty tears that flow when you weep and the beautiful dreams that come while you sleep. I'm the smile you see on a baby's face. Just look for me, I'm every place! boztiggs Posted - 17/04/2007 : 19:03:03 Oh dear, that was just a tad too touching for me, red eyes in the morning I feel. I was a bit nervous at first when I got to Henley - especially as there was a 'sandgroper' amongst you were all very friendly and easy going and the nerves soon went (tho I think they re-surfaced briefly when Carole made her grand entrance! ). I'll let you off the flat note Nancy as you were singing Dusty... just not quite as well!! Sorry to hear your mum is unwell Neil, I've been there and I know what it's like. Sending my best wishes to you mikeh69 Posted - 21/04/2007 : 03:39:43 I think Im goin back To the things I learned so well In my youth 299 Posts I think Im returning to Those days When I was young enough To know the truth Now there are no games To only pass the time No more colouring books No christmas bells to chime But thinking young And growing older Is no sin And I can play The game of life to win I can recall the time When I wasnt ashamed To reach out to a friend And now I think Ive got A lot more than A skipping rope to lend Now theres more to do Than watch my sailboat glide And everyday can be My magic carpet ride And I can play hide and seek with my fears And live my days instead of counting my years Let everyone debate the true reality Id rather see the world the way it used to be A little bit of freedoms All we lack So catch me if you can Im goin back Laura Posted - 21/04/2007 : 10:49:20 The very first time I heard that song, I cried... The very first time I heard that song, I cried... me too, Laura - still do sometimes, as it's such a sad song, and it reminds me of Dusty's funeral..
