Girls On Film - 2017! Returns! New Zealand's Premier On-Screen Acting Programme 2017 1
Inspirational 5 x On-Screen sessions in total - 4 x 1.5 hour after school classes - 1 x 3 hour Saturday morning double class at Barefoot Studios in Ponsonby Auckland An after-school on-screen acting programme Matt & Mike Dwyer from Barefoot Casting are thrilled to be back collaborating with in offering an after-school on-screen acting class. This again will deliver excellence in educational, developmental and film industry outcomes over the training period. As well as being great fun and a huge confidence booster, the classes aim to address the disparity between stage acting which students are trained in and on-screen acting which the film industry requires of them. In short, the two forms are very different. The film and television industry is crying out for emerging camera-ready youth who can interpret and step into the many on-screen roles being written for them. We aim to facilitate that process. 2
This is how we do it! Term 2-2017 *1 class available on Tuesday afternoon (see Page 3 for dates) Years 5 to 9 or Years 10 to 13 *We have only 1 class available so the first group we get numbers for (either Yr 5 to 9 or Yr 10 to 13) is the group we will go with. We ve made more changes, refining what and how we achieve the programme objectives and yet the main goals remain: 1 - Film & television Industry focussed acting imperatives. 2 - Student actor on-screen acting development. 3 - Student actor self-development. 4 - Student actor critical studies development. 5 - Tangible industry exposure for the students. 3
