Answer ALL of the questions using the same drama / theatre form. pantomime puppetry. Drama / theatre form: Features of the drama / theatre form to which the questions may refer include, but are not limited to: performance space (e.g. medieval use of pageant wagons) acting styles (e.g. the extravagant gestures of commedia dell arte) themes or ideas (e.g. the Elizabethan wheel of fortune) purpose (e.g. medieval exploration of Bible stories) conventions (e.g. use of asides in melodrama) use of technologies (e.g. mask in Greek theatre) historical / social context (e.g. the Great Depression in New Zealand theatre).

(a) Describe and / or make an annotated sketch to show how an actor playing this character could use movement through the performance space in this moment. You could consider aspects such as: direction pathways energy ensemble awareness pace timing the starting and finishing points of the movement sequence.

7 (b) Explain why the character would have moved in this way. You could consider: the use of a typical acting style of the drama / theatre form the importance of the actor audience relationship in the drama / theatre form the shape of the performance space.
