PAGE TO STAGE classes designed for Students Kindergarten and 1st Grade In Level 1 classes a Professional Theater Artist guides the students to choose a character inspired by the books that come to life on the DCT stage every year. Students can choose their own character in each class. Each week the class will create scenes and rehearse their parts. DCT Artists lead students in theater games to enhance creativity and team work. Young Actors go onstage and learn about backstage, too. Actors choose a costume for the show. DRAMA LEVEL 2 INTERMEDIATE PAGE TO STAGE classes designed for Students Grades 2 & 3 Level 2 classes continue to emphasize the importance of character as our Professional Theater Artists guide the students to create an original play. Acting Techniques are explored through warm-ups and theater games. Plays at this level have more plot points and dramatic elements than Level 1. Each week scenes are added and rehearsed. Students will present their original plays for family and friends on the last day! Grades 4-6 Classes at this level offer options: Create a Play with Advanced Characterizations; Learn Lines and Blocking with Pre-scripted materials; or Create and Star in an Original Movie! Professional DCT Theater Artists work with students to improve acting techniques or explore the world of video in more specialized classes. On the last class day Family and Friends see the show or watch the movie! MAKIN MOVIES $250 Work with DCT s own Karl Schaeffer to Create a Movie Masterpiece! JUNIE B. & PALS $250 Junie B. and her Friends have entertained young readers for years. Now we can take on the characters from her books and add our own as we create an original one of a kind show! TEEN SCENE CLASSICAL FESTIVAL CLASSICAL THEATER WORKSHOP $200 A program designed for young actors with previous class/acting experience who are ready to get to the next level in the world of Classical Theater! Work with David Lugo - professional Actor and Improv artist on the skills that will help you create on your feet.
