Warriors Magazine, LLC Guest Writer Guidelines Thank you for your decision to become part of the Warriors Magazine family. Warriors Magazine s mission is to provide the average, everyday hardworking individual with the latest information and techniques for personal self-defense. We research, test, and deliver state-of-the art information as well as specific self-defense tools and tactics which have been proven to be effective. We draw from Martial Artists, Military professionals, Law Enforcement, and Legal experts to provide content for each issue. Our articles are filled with practical, hands-on strategies from the world s foremost personal protection leaders presented using interactive media. Writers should query first with a suggested topic, unless otherwise directed by the editors of Warriors Magazine, LLC. Queries should include the title of the piece and provide the essence of the content, not just the topic. For example, instead of submitting an article called Martial Arts fitness, a better approach would be, Enough fuel to finish the fight. The latter indicates a level of specificity that catches the reader s attention and points to a particular area of fitness Warriors Magazine, LLC assumes no responsibility for the return of unsolicited material. All material is submitted on speculation only and submission does not guarantee publication. The editors of Warriors Magazine, LLC reserve the right to edit or reject any submitted work (solicited or not). Types of articles Warriors Magazine, LLC accepts only original content that has not been previously published, unless otherwise arranged by our publisher. Our magazine s subscribers look for hands-on information and how-to type articles that will help them defend themselves and their family. Potential subject matter 1

should be specific to self-defense techniques and strategies, particular tools and weapons, or relevant product reviews. We also accept human interest stories that showcase a warrior lifestyle, articles about fitness and nutrition. The best way to become familiar with the types of articles we publish is to look at the current issue and previous issues (if available). As a digital publication, our magazine uses formats that include text descriptions, plenty of photos examples, and usually some type of video demonstration. Submissions should avoid unsubstantiated claims and instead rely on facts that are corroborated by multiple sources, which Warriors Magazine, LLC will verify prior to publication. Our current departments include: Cover Features (12000 1500 words) Features (1000 1200 words) Winning Tactics (500 750 words) This column focuses on awareness and possible personal defensive tactics. 24 / 7 Warrior (500 750 words) This column focuses on specific self-defense techniques or training drills. (For example: Judo throws for self-defense, Jujitsu submissions, Knife defense, etc.). Get Fit to Fight (500 750 words) This column focuses on fitness and physical conditioning as it pertains to being prepared to defend yourself and your family. Authors should have some level of professional certification. Nutrition with Kristin (no more than 500 words and a video recipe). This column focuses on tips and recipes to maximize the benefits of a healthy diet. Authors should have some level of professional certification. Warrior Stories (500 750 words) This column focuses on human interest stories that highlight courage and a warrior lifestyle. Veteran stories are given preference. Product Review (no more than 500 words and a video). This column is a professional, honest, and respectful review of various types of products to include, but not limited to: self-defense weapons, tactical gear, and training equipment. Product reviews that are highly negative will not be accepted. Reviews need to address five self-defense criteria that the magazine endorses: 1. Effective 2. Always on your person 3. Easy to train with minimal time commitment 4. Strength neutral 5. Gender neutral 2
