They might look like normal kids and they might do normal kid things: they go to school, they play in the park, and they live in a house But Ben and Brenda aren t normal kids at all they have superpowers! Ben has the superpower of speed. When he wants, he can move faster than a race car! Nobody is faster than Ben; he is the fastest person in the whole world. Ben also has the superpower of flight. When he wants, he can fly like a bird through the air! Brenda has the superpower of strength. When she wants, she can lift anything, even a bus! Nobody is stronger than Brenda; she is the strongest person in the whole world. Brenda also has the superpower of invisibility. When she wants, she can disappear into thin air like a ghost. In the city where Ben and Brenda live there is a stinky villain bothering everyone. He has been in the newspaper because nobody, not even the police can stop him. His name is Farting Fred. Fred eats lots of beans so that he can fart, fart, and fart some more! Fred: Beans, beans they re good for your heart! The more you eat the more you fart! Ben: Uh-oh! We better get ready; we might have to use our powers! Brenda: But what can we do when he farts? Ben: We don t have much time why don t you turn invisible and pick him up, and then I ll use my speed to quickly open the window Brenda: and then I ll stick his bottom out the window and nobody will smell his fart! Ben: Great! Brenda: Uh-oh look, he s eating his beans Fred: Beans, beans they re good for your heart! The more you eat the more you fart! Kids&Us. Ben&Brenda. This recording is copyright. 4

Ben: He s getting ready to fart Farting Fred: Ha ha! It s going to get really stinky in here very soon!! Brenda: Ready? Steady? Go! Ben: We stopped him that time and he didn t even know it was us! Brenda: Yes, but we ve got to come up with a plan to stop Fred from farting forever. Later at home Brenda: What can we do to stop Fred from farting forever? Ben: How about we get rid of all his beans? Brenda: Or we could get rid of ALL of the beans in the WHOLE WORLD! Ben: Then he could never, ever fart again! Brenda: Ok, so how can we do it? How can we get rid of all the beans in the world? Ben: Well, let s make a plan! So, Ben and Brenda made a plan Later that night Ben used his super speed and flew all around the world stealing all of the beans he could find. Ben: Wow, there really are a lot of beans in the world! Brenda used her invisibility and went into Fred s house while he slept And stole all of his beans. Brenda: You won t be eating beans anymore Fred! Then, Brenda used her super strength to pick up all of the beans. And crushed them into a giant ball And then threw the ball into outer space! Kids&Us. Ben&Brenda. This recording is copyright. 5

Ben: Well first we have to find her at her next robbery Brenda: Nicky leaves a trail of snot wherever she goes so we just have to follow the trail Ben: But what are we going to do when we find her? Brenda: Why don t you use your super speed and flight to fly around and distract her, since you are super-fast, she ll never be able to trap you with her bogeys. Ben: Ok, I can do that! Brenda: And then I can turn invisible and use my super strength to free whoever she has captured! Ben: Then, I ll call the police so that they can arrest her. Brenda: Great! Now we have our plan! Have a sandwich or some fruit Try some water or some juice They must better for your health Junk, junk, junk Stop eating that junk food! The people in Ben and Brenda s city just can t take it anymore. Their ears hurt. They ve got terrible headaches. All because of one terribly, noisy villain: Burping Bob. You see Bob has a terrible habit, he loves, loves, LOVES to drink soft drinks. And when he does, he burps soooooo loudly it can be heard for miles. Not only is Burping Bob s habit annoying but he uses it to ruin special events in the city. Last month he ruined a school play Bob: BORING! This should make things more interesting hahaha! Last week he ruined a football match Bob: No! If he scores my tea will lose! One burp from me and he ll miss! And just yesterday he ruined a concert Kids&Us. Ben&Brenda. Bob: Ugh! I don t like this band at all! Time to end this concert! Now the mayor is really worried because tomorrow the Queen is coming to visit! Mayor: The Queen is coming to visit and I just know that Burping Bob is going to ruin her visit to our city! What can I do? Police Chief: What about Ben and Brenda? They ve helped us before, maybe they can help us with Burping Bob too? Mayor: What a good idea! Yes! Let s call Ben and Brenda. Later at the mayor s office Mayor: Thank you for coming! We really need your help! Police Chief: We ve got to keep Burping Bob from ruining the Queen s visit tomorrow. Can you help us? Brenda: We ll try our best! Ben: Sure we can help! We just have to make a plan. Brenda: I have an idea! How about we work together! If you can pick me up and fly to the Bio-Dome, I can use my super strength to pick up the dome and place it over Bob. Ben: Then he ll be trapped and nobody will hear his burping! Mayor: Good idea! That ll stop him! The next day the Queen arrived Brenda: Look I can see Bob! Ben: Yes, he s on his way! Brenda: Time for our plan! Ben: Ready, steady, go! Kids&Us. Ben&Brenda. This recording is copyright. 16

Crowd: Hurray! Hurray! Mayor: Ben and Brenda! You ve saved the day! Queen: Thank you for saving me from Burping Bob! Ben and Brenda: You re welcome your majesty. Queen: But I think we need to stop Bob from burping ever again! Have you got any ideas? Brenda: Hmmm what can we do? Ben: I know! We need to convince Bob to stop drinking so many soft drinks! Brenda: Yes, there are many other yummy things to drink Ben: Well, what if we leave him in the dome until he gets really, really thirsty Brenda: And then give him something healthy to drink, like a nice, cold orange juice! Ben: I m sure if he s thirsty enough he might like it too! Brenda: If he learns to like another drink, he ll stop drinking soft drinks and stop burping! Queen: That sounds like a fine plan! Later that day Bob: Please, please let me out! I m so, so, sooooo thirsty! I need a soft drink! Brenda: I think it s safe to let Bob out of the dome now. Grrrr Bob: Yipppee! I m free! Where are my soft drinks? Ben: Sorry we haven t got any soft drinks. Brenda: Here try this! Bob: Glug, glug, glug, glug! Mmmm, yummy! That was delicious! Kids&Us. Ben&Brenda. But compared to the latest villain that has come to town, Fred, Nicky and Bob were a small problem. The latest villain is a big problem. A very, very, very big problem. Her name is Tina Tantrum. Tina is a giant with a temper. Don t ever make fun of what a giant Tina is or she will have a tantrum. Boy: Look, look a giant! She s so big! Girl: Haha! You re a giant, a giant! Tina: Grrrrr!!!!!!!!!!!! Don t tease me, I m just tall! Boy and Girl: Giant, giant, you re a giant! Tina: Ahhhhhh!!!! I m not a giant! Grrrrr!!!!!!!!!!!!! Girl: Uh-oh, run away! Run away! Tina was becoming a real problem, whenever she gets angry, she has a fit and the city was getting destroyed. One day, Ben and Brenda were at school playing in the playground when all of a sudden they felt the ground begin to shake and shake Then they heard a police siren And a police car pulled right up to the playground. Hmmmm I wonder if you re strong enough to hold her legs down Brenda: I think I can, but not for long What if you fly and get a very big rope off a ship in the harbour? Then you can come and fly around her and tie her up. Ben: Yeah I can do that! Brenda: And I will have to turn invisible or else she will see me! Ben: Ok, I m going to go to the harbour now! Tina: Ahhhhh!!!!!! I M NOT A GIANT! I M JUST TALL!!!! Police chief: Quickly Brenda, you and Ben are our last hope! Brenda: I ll do my best! Tina: Hey! That s not fair! Let me go! Let me go!
