English 1 - Safety information Important safety information airled-9x3tcb - Battery-operated wireless projector with RGB LEDs WARNING : This unit contains no user-serviceable parts. Do not open the housing or attempt any maintenance by yourself. In the unlikely even your unit may require service, please contact your nearest dealer. This unit is intended for indoor use only. Do not use it in a wet, or extremely cold/hot locations. Failure to follow these safety instructions could result in fire, electric shock, injury, or damage to this product or other property. Any maintenance procedure must be performed by a CONTEST authorised technical service. Basic cleaning operations must thoroughly follow our safety instructions. In order to avoid any electrical malfunction, please do not use any multi-socket, power cord extension or connecting system without making sure they are perfectly isolated and present no defect. This product contains non-isolated electrical components. Do not undertake any maintenance operation when it is switched on as it may result in electric shock. Symbols used This symbol signals an important safety precaution. The WARNING symbol signals a risk to the user s physical integrity. The product may also be damaged. The CAUTION symbol signals a risk of product deterioration. Recommendations concerning batteries 1 - Handling the battery: Never short-circuit the battery. A short-circuit creates a very high current which causes overheating and may lead to electrolyte leaks, gas emission or explosion. Do not drop or shock the battery as it my result in a degradation of its electrical properties. Keep the battery away from important heat sources as there is a risk of explosion. 2 - Modifying the battery: Do not weld cables directly on the battery as insulating components might be damaged by the heat. The battery is made up of 21 Lithium cells, do not try to separate them as it may result in a short-circuit. 3 - Chemical risks: Lithium batteries are usually not subject to leaks, but in the event of a skin contact with liquid leaking from the battery, please flush with water and seek medical advice immediately. 4 - Contact with fire: Do NOT incinerate or burn the battery as it may result in an explosion. 5 - Contact with liquids: Do NOT put the battery in contact with water, drinks, etc. Warning This product is equipped with Class 2 LEDs. Please avoid looking directly at the beam as it may cause severe eye injuries. Recycling your device As HITMUSIC is really involved in the environmental cause, we only commercialise clean, ROHS compliant products. When this product reaches its end of life, take it to a collection point designated by local authorities. The separate collection and recycling of your product at the time of disposal will help conserve natural resources and ensure that it is recycled in a manner that protects human health and the environment. 6 - Damaged battery: Do not use a shocked, disformed or leaking battery. If you suspect any suspicious smell, keep the battery away from any heat source to avoid risks of explosions or fire. 7 - Storage and periods of non-use: The battery must be stored at room temperature, being charged at 30 or 50%. During long periods of non-use it is recommended to charge the battery every 6 months to avoid excessive discharges. 8 - Lifespan: The battery works with chemical reactions, as a result its performances decreases even if it is not used for long periods. Moreover, the multiples charge-discharge cycles, temperature fluctuations etc. lead to battery deteriorations and can damage the device, e.g. in case of electrolyte leaks. If the battery does not hold charge properly, it means it has reached the end of its life and must be replaced. 9 - Recycling: Spent batteries must be taken care of by specific entities. Do not throw. Do not dispose of it in the environment. 10 - Guarantee: This battery is considered as wearing part and is not covered by the guarantee. 2

Carefully follow the installation instructions and use the adequate tools. Always ensure this unit is firmly fixed to avoid vibration and slipping while operating as it may result in physical injury. 7 - Ceiling or wall installation : Please contact your local dealer before attempting any ceiling or wall installation. 8 - Ventilation : Please contact your local dealer before attempting any ceiling or wall installation. 9 - Heat exposure : Sustained contact or proximity with warm surfaces may cause overheating and product damages. These information are specified on the label located at the rear of the product. 11 - Power cords protection: Power-supply cords should be routed so that they are not likely to be walked on or pinched by items placed upon or against them, paying particular attention to cords at lugs, convenience receptacles and the point where they exit from the fixture. 12 - Cleaning precautions : Unplug the product before attempting any cleaning operation. This product should be cleaned only with accessories recommended by the manufacturer. Use a damp cloth to clean the surface. Do not wash this product. 13 - Long periods of non use : Disconnect the unit s main power during long periods of non use. 14 - Liquids or objects penetration : Do not let any object penetrate this product as it may result in electric shock or fire. Its infrared remote control and battery allow you to install it anywhere and launch its built-in programs to create a perfectly autonomous light show. It also features an AirDMX receiver/transmitter allowing you to wirelessly and remotely synchronise projectors. It is equipped with 9x3W LEDs to produce an incredible colour rendering without lamp changing, but always low power consumption and a very long lifespan. Caution: Do not accumulate more than 700W on the same electrical outlet. 2 Menu buttons MODE / ESC button Allows you to access menus and select a function. SETUP / ENTER button Allows you to configure the parameters of the functions chosen with the MODE button. UP and DOWN buttons Allow you to increase/decrease the adjustable values or browse the submenus. 3 DMX input 3-pin female XLR plug hardwired as follows : - Mass: 1 - Negative signal: 2 - Positive signal: 3 This socket is used to receive a DMX signal from another projector or from a DMX console. 4 DMX output 3-pin male XLR plug hardwired as follows : - Mass: 1 - Negative signal: 2 - Positive signal: 3 Use this socket to daisy chain projectors 5 Display This intuitive display allows you to configure your projector. Please refer to the next paragraphs for more details about the projector configuration. 6 WIRELESS DMX Switch Activates the wireless DMX function. Once activated, the airled-9x3tcb is able to receive and transmit DMX signals via WiFi. 7 BATTERY Switch Allows you to configure the battery. - When OFF, the battery is disconnected. - When ON, the projector is powered by the battery. If ON, please make sure the POWER switch is not ON and the projector is not plugged to an electrical outlet. 5

Pull out this antenna when you are using the wireless DMX mode in order to get a better range. 9 POWER Switch Turns the projector ON/OFF. Note : The projector will not use the battery if this switch is on and it is connected to an electrical outlet. 10 Main fuse If need to replace the fuse, please make sure the new fuse has exactly the same characteristics as the original one. 11 LED WIRELESS INDICATOR This LED flashes in red when the wireless DMX function is activated. It also allows you to visualise which channel is currently used. 12 ID SELECTOR button Allows you to choose a channel for the airled- 9x3TCb to communicate with other devices. 7 channels are available. The LED WIRELESS INDICATOR has a different colour for each channel. English airled-9x3tcb - Battery-operated wireless projector with RGB LEDs 6 - Advanced functions 6.1 - Charging the battery To charge the battery, plug your projector to an electrical outlet and the the POWER and BATTERY switches to ON. The display flashes during charging operations and the number of bars indicate the charge level. The different charge levels are as follows: 1 - : Battery level between 75% and 100%. 2 - : Battery level between 50% and 75%. 3 - : Battery level between 25% and 50%. 4 - : Battery level below 25%. The battery must be urgently charged since the projectors shuts off before the battery being fully discharged. The display stops flashing when the battery is fully charged. When using the battery, the display lights on and the first bar quickly flashes to indicate the battery level is below 25% and the projector might automatically switch off soon. 6.2 - Using the wireless DMX mode (AirDMX) The WiFi transmission system allows you to synchronise several units without using any DMX cable. You can synchronise several units by using the master/slave mode or like any regular DMX daisy-chaining installation. The units must use the same communication channel to be synchronised. To do so, use the ID SELECTOR button and choose one of the 7 available channels. The LED WIRELESS INDICATOR will light on with a different colour for each channel. You will find below the channels and their corresponding colour: Channel 1 Channel 2 Channel 3 Channel 4 Channel 5 Channel 6 Channel 7 Red Green Yellow Blue Purple Cyan White The LED WIRELESS INDICATOR has 3 different status when the units are communicating: 1 - LED constantly on : No DMX or WiFi signal. 2 - LED flashing in red : The projector is currently transmitting a signal. 3 - LED flashing in green : The projector is currently receiving a signal. Note : The unit transmitting a DMX signal is in transmission mode. 6.3 - Using the USER mode (customisable program) 6-3-1 Editing the program Go to the Edit menu by pressing MODE, then press SETUP. 1 - Use the SC.XX submenu to configure the number of steps of the program. 2 - Use the St.XX submenu to edit the first scene: St.01, then configure the red, green and blue levels with the r.xxx, g.xxx and b.xxx submenus. 3 - Press St-XX to move onto the next step. The number of customisable steps depends on the choice you made with the SC.XX submenu. (The menu goes back to step 1 each time a step is edited.) 4 - Repeat steps 2 and 3 as many times as you have steps to edit. 6-3-2 Program settings Use the MODE button to reach the USer menu, then press SETUP. 1 - Use the PLAY/STOP submenu to launch or stop the program. 2 - Use the t.xxx submenu to configure the duration of the steps. 3 - Use the F.XXX submenu to configure the crossfading. 4 - Use the S.XXX submenu to configure the strobe speed. 5 - Use the d.xxx submenu to configure the main dimmer. Note : Settings from the USER menu affects all the program steps. 8

airled-9x3tcb - Battery-operated wireless projector with RGB LEDs English 7 - Infrared remote control The infrared remote control supplied with the projectors allows you to remotely access all the functions of the projectors. The infrared sensor is located on the front of the projector. Note : The remote control can also be used when the projector is in DMX mode. 1 - Black out button: Turns the projectors ON or OFF. 2 - A (AUTO RUN) button: Activates the automatic mode. Automatic colour changes. 3 - PROG (SELECT PROG) button: Launches built-in programs. Select a program among the 10 fixed colours selections (red, green, cyan...), Color Jumping (fast colour sequencing) and Color Dream (slower colour sequencing) by pressing the + and - buttons. Note : Fixed colours can also be chosen with the 0 to 9 buttons. The sequencing is as follows: 0 = black-out ; 1 = Red ; 2 = Green ; 3 = Blue ; 4 = Orange ; 5 = Yellow; 6 = Magenta, 7 = Cyan, 8 = Cool white and 9 = Warm white. 4 - F button (FLASH): Activates or deactivates the Flash mode. Increase or decrease the flash speed with the + and - buttons of the remote control. 5 - SP button: Allows you to configure the Color Jumping and Color Dream programs speed. Increase or decrease the speed with the + and - buttons of the remote control. 6 - D button (DMX MODE): Activates the DMX mode of the projectors. 7 - DMX mode selection There are 5 different DMX modes. You will need to select a DMX mode before controlling your projector in DMX mode ; Press the D button (DMX MODE) and use the + and - buttons to switch from one mode to another : - When the LEDs are red, the projector is currently using the 2-channel mode. - When the LEDs are green, the projector is currently using the 3-channel mode. - When the LEDs are blue, the projector is currently using the 4-channel mode. - When the LEDs are red and green, the projector is currently using the 5-channel mode. - When the LEDs are red and blue, the projector is currently using the 6-channel mode. 8 - SA button: Activates the music-sensitive mode. 9 - SL button (SLAVE): Activates the slave mode. 10 - SET ADDR buttons and 0, 1, 2, 3, 4, 5, 6, 7, 8 and 9: Allows you to configure your projectors DMX address. For instance, if you want to configure the address 245 : - Press S, all the LEDs are flashing to indicate the beginning of the process. - Press 2, the green LEDs of your projectors lit up to indicate the hundreds digit has been saved. - Press 4, the blue LEDs of your projector lit up to indicate the tenths digit has been saved. - Then press 5. All the LEDs will flash to confirm you the address has been saved properly. To configure the address 002: - Press S, all the LEDs are flashing to indicate the process beginning. - Press 0, the green LEDs of your projectors lit up to indicate the hundreds digit has been saved. - Press 0, the blue LEDs of your projector lit up to indicate the tenths digit has been saved. - Then press 2. All the LEDs will flash to confirm you the address has been saved properly. 11 - R, G and B buttons : Adjusts colours brightness, R for red, G for green and B for blue. Increase or decrease their brightness with the + and - buttons. 11
