digimax Without Pumpkin Spice It s October and everywhere you turn something has pumpkin spice attached to it. Products that are great all year long suddenly become so much better with pumpkin spice added. Here at MTCO Communications, we still offer our great TV, Internet and Phone service to customers without adding any flavors or gimmicks to make them better. We have been offering our digimax service to customers for over 5 years, and the only thing added over this time frame is more channels, faster internet and even greater customer service. With us entering into the fall season and with winter lurking on the horizon, many people start spending more time inside. The need for great internet and TV services become more important as the daylight is shorter and our entertainment needs become somewhat dependent on these services. Again, MTCO is here to provide you the best in those services by keeping you informed and entertained. People come and go in communities today. Somebody you knew 5, 10 or 20 years ago in your neighborhood may not be there anymore. It s a fast paced world we live in, and people are always on the go or life deals them changes. If you are new to this community, we welcome you! MTCO Communications has been around since 1945 when we started as a telephone company in Metamora. Over the years we became the telephone company in Marseilles, and further along began offering internet services in 1996. Over 3 years ago we began offering our great services to the town of Washington, and made it a GIG city by building an entire fiber optic network to offer great internet speeds and services to our customers. So sit back this October and enjoy your pumpkin spice latte along with your pumpkin spice donuts. Fall is a fantastic season to embrace and it passes by so fast. With our digimax TV, Internet and Phone services your fall season will be so much better and we didn t have to add any pumpkin spice. On The Cover A nice little harvest setting at Northtown Farms located on E. Cruger Road in Washington. They are a 6th generation family farm specializing in farm fresh produce, Jack-O-Lantern Pumpkins, fresh meat, and traditional row crop farming. Fall Sun Outages Fall TV sun outages start October 4, 2016 and are expected to last until October 12th. You can expect to see video issues these days between the hours of 12:00 p.m. 5:00 p.m. Video outages will range from a few blips of interrupted video to channels that may go dark for several minutes. Sun outages are a natural phenomenon that occur when a satellite and a receiving earth station come directly in line with the sun. The sun s energy interferes with the satellite s signal and affects the signals received by the earth station. The affected signals may lead to poor or no reception of channels relying on the affected satellites. MTCO digimax TV, like other TV providers, receive most of our channels via satellite. These outages generally occur in February, March, September and October. New Channels MTCO digimax just added two new channels to its SELECT TV package. Laff TV (channel 220) airs comedy programs such as the Drew Carey Show, Night Court and Empty Nest, along with movies like Jerry Maguire and Sleepless in Seattle. Escape (channel 221) features crime shows such as Unsolved Mysteries and Forensic Files along with movies like Fatal Attraction and Presumed Innocent. Special STARZ + ENCORE Offer If you sign up for STARZ + ENCORE by Friday, December 30, 2016 you will receive your first six months of STARZ + ENCORE at 1/2 price! Plus, receive $25 cash back with a proof of three months payment. Call MTCO today at 800-859-6826 with questions or to sign up. FREE HBO & Cinemax Weekend Settle in for another digimax free preview weekend and watch all the HBO and Cinemax channels for free starting at 6:00 a.m. on Friday, October 7th. The free preview ends at midnight on Monday, October 10th. Enjoy the many movies and documentaries, along with the HBO premiere of Westworld. Keep up with Entertainment and Technology news. Wood Street Bike Trail: POW s were brought in on the old rail line that ran down Wood Street (the foundation of a sentry tower can be seen just northeast of the intersection of Wood and Jefferson near the entrance to the bike trail). They were trucked from the camp to various local farms to help with the pumpkin harvest. resource - Wikipedia
