Along with other materials, it helped me pass the CISA exam. Actually, this book covered more subjects and more deeply than that exam. The subject is dry in the extreme in book form, but interesting when you practice it in the real world. I think the book's value now would be as an historical reference. A lot has changed since it was published in 1998, but it would be a shame to lose a sense of where we were at the time with regard to information systems control and audit. It is a mystery to me why this author did not produce a revised edition because his was the premier book on the subject when it was published.
