Last Friday evening, while Mike's parents were out for dinner, he decided to use his mother's laptop to play a computer game. However, this was against the rules. His mother doesn't allow him to use her laptop when she isn't at home. When she is at home, he must always ask his mum before he uses her laptop. I'll just play for half an hour, he said to himself. Mum will never find out, he continued. He took the laptop from his parents' room to his room, turned it on and went to the kitchen to get a glass of milk. He chose a difficult game. He lost the first time he played it. He became angry with himself and started the game again. Now, he was sure that he could win. And he did! He was so excited that he started jumping up and down. While he was jumping, he knocked the glass of milk with his hand and the milk was all over the laptop! He panicked. What am I going to tell mum? he asked himself. At that moment, he heard his parents talking in the living room. They're here! Mike said with great fear. He knew that his parents would punish him, but he decided to go to the living room and tell them about what had happened. His parents listened to him carefully. Then his mum said: I was going to get you a laptop for your birthday. Now, I'll buy a new one for myself. Mike said he was very sorry and went to his bedroom.

The bedrooms are on the second floor. I like my room a lot. The walls are painted purple and the door red. My desk is near the window from where I can see the back yard. Luckily, the street I live on is not noisy. My apartment is not very big. It is on the fourth floor, with two big balconies. From the back balcony, we can see a park. In winter time, I love sitting by the fireplace and listening to music. Next to the living room is the kitchen. There are two bedrooms in my house. I share one of them with my little brother. Sometimes it is difficult for me to study in my room because my brother wants to play with me. Our apartment is small, but it is like a paradise for me; it is the place where I find happiness, care and love from my family.
