Introduction Please. Read the instructions in this manual before operating the device. This manual includes operating procedures, safety precautions and specifications of SAVE - Electronic Visual Acuity System. If you encounter operating difficulties, any problems, questions and suggestions about the device, please contact assistencia@apramed.com.br or visit www.apramed.com.br. This manual only contains basic and simplified information regarding the use of the device, which does not replace specific training for their use. The use of SAVE by untrained professionals can bring harm to the patient or product. Installation Instructions Mounting on the TV Note: For TV that does not have side HDMI connection, use HDMI extender and double fixing sided tape to secure the device in the back of the TV. 1. Connect the USB power cable into a free USB port on the TV. 2. Connect the device or HDMI extender cable to a free HDMI port on the TV. 3. Connect the USB wireless receiver to the device's USB port. Main screen Soon after, the main screen appears. In it are present optotypes banks that can be easily accessed by directional buttons, confirm selection by pressing button or cursor, to trigger the click, press the OK button. SAVE Sistema de Acuidade Visual Eletrônico 3
Settings In the lower left corner of the screen press the button to display the settings screen. The settings screen has the following options: 1. advanced: displays the general settings of the operating system, where you can configure the Wi-Fi connection and resolution of the TV and other settings. It is not recommended to modify these settings without the help of a technician. 2. calibration: displays the TV screen calibration (details in the next section). 3. upgrade: with the device properly connected to a Wi-Fi network the system will automatically update the device software. 4. user manual: displays the manual on your TV screen. 5. Device serial number: displays the serial device, such information may be requested by the technical support team. 6. Distance from TV: exact distance between the patient and the TV. 7. Font size in the footer of optotypes: font size on which displays the information of the optotypes. 8. Number of optotypes for single background color: amount of optotypes to be displayed when selecting the background of a single color (black, white, blue or yellow). 9. Number of optotypes for two-colored background: amount of optotypes to be displayed when selecting the background with two colors (red / green or red / green). 10. Initial size of optotypes. 11. Time interval to activate the screensaver: amount of time should be kept to activate the device's screensaver. Select [Never] to disable the screensaver. 12. Shape of the letters: You may change the format of the letters through this option. 13. Always generate new sequence of optotypes: by enabling this option, all changes in the display of optotypes (size or background) will be generated new random sequence of optotypes. 14. Logo display during screen saver: displays the SAVE logo during the screensaver when disabled will display black screen. 15. Wi-fi: Turn on or off the wi-fi connection. 16. Restore default: restore factory default settings. CAUTION: It is advisable to keep the Wifi connection off as the unit is not in the upgrade process or accessing the online gallery. TV Calibration In the setup screen go to the "Calibration" button. The calibration process ensures a correct proportion of optotype for the TV in use. As in the case of the distance from the observer adjust this procedure should be performed only the first use of the equipment or after switching TV. Follow the procedure, measure the optotype size using a common ruler. For this position the ruler vertically on the "E" and measure your height. With the directional buttons or cursor, enter the measured value. After entering the value press the "Save calibration" button. Online Update We provide periodic updates, which may contain new banks optotypes and improvements in the product software. To check for new versions and updates simply connect the device to a Wi-Fi network and press the "Update online" button. By pressing the button the following screen appears: If the version installed on your device is already updated the following message appears: If there is a new version of the system available on our servers, the following screen appears: Press the [Install] button and wait for the installation process. After installation it will display the following screen: Check [SAVE] and click [Always]. Setting up Wi-Fi To set the device's Wifi network, access the Setup button in the lower left corner of the main screen SAVE. In the configuration screen, press the [Advanced] button, where the software will display the Android Settings screen. Make sure the Wi-Fi connection is enabled, if not, click on the switch to activate it. With Wi-Fi activated, the system will display all networks within range of the device. Instructions for use The SAVE operation platform is designed to be simple and intuitive. From the main software screen, which is displayed whenever pressed the (home) button or the (return) button on the remote control, select the optotype bank through the directional buttons and confirm with the button, or point the cursor and press the OK button. SAVE has 2 types of optotypes bank, variable and fixed. Optotypes variables The optotypes variables are optotypes that are displayed in a line containing 6 optotypes size determined by the user, in addition to having various background and contrast adjustment. To increase or decrease the size of the optotypes, just press the up and down the remote control, respectively. The images of the optotypes are randomly generated by the SAVE software. To generate new random list, press the button on the remote control. You can also change the background wallpaper of optotypes for that, just press the left arrow from the remote control. SAVE has the 6 background options: black (standard), white, blue (yellow eye charts), yellow (blue eye charts) and duo-chrome modes with green and red colors. Optotype isolation To isolate a single optotype, press the right arrow from the remote control. To select the next, press the right arrow again. Contrast Sensitivity Adjustment SAVE provides the ability to change the contrast of the optotypes to increase or decrease the contrast respectively press the or buttons on the remote control. Fixed optotypes Are optotypes that are displayed on screen center fixed size. Some fixed optotypes have the ability to change the background between white and black, to change the background press the right and left of the remote control. Progressive Chart The Progressive Chart consists of a chart that displays multiple lines of optotypes in progressive dimensions of 20/10 to 20/400. You can change the background between white and black, through the right buttons and left the remote control. To emphasize one of the lines, press the up or down from the remote control. This way the user can signal the patient which line should be identified. You can also emphasize the selected optotype each line using the buttons to the right. Each optotype this chart can be changed. To access the chart optotype editor, press the button on the remote control. The first chart optotype is selected, at this time, the user can through the directional buttons, choose which optotype want to change. By positioning the selection of the desired optotypes the user must press the button again to open the optotype selection panel. Color Blindness Test The optotype bank for color blindness test has 24 figures. To move forward or backward figure respectively press the up and down the remote control. Colorblindness in general: can not follow the line or follow a line different from normal. Normal vision: can follow the orange line. Astigmatism Test This optotype bank has two images that help the doctor identify the angle of the patient's astigmatism. Image gallery SAVE has a gallery containing 26 images that can be used by the physician to illustrate certain illnesses or surgeries. To access the gallery of images, select the button using the directional and press the button or point the cursor and press the OK button. To select an image using the cursor followed by the OK button or press the directional buttons up and down. Online Gallery of Images and Videos To create a custom gallery of images and videos please visit www.saveacuidade.com.br and follow the customization instructions. After setting up the gallery with photos and/or videos, access it through the online gallery button on the main software screen. On Screen Commands SAVE has the capability to provide the remote's buttons in different virtual areas of the screen. Maintenance and Cleaning For the maintenance of SAVE, contact assistencia@apramed.com.br. Due to the materials with which SAVE is produced, cleaning is quite simple, just use a dry cloth to remove dust. It is not recommended to use any chemicals for cleaning the equipment. Safety Precautions 1. Do not use the equipment for purposes other than those specified by Apramed, which is not responsible for problems arising from the improper use of the equipment. 2. Safety precautions and operating procedures should be fully assimilated to operate the equipment. 3. Never modify or touch internal parts of the equipment, at the risk of electric shock and/or malfunctions. 4. Install the equipment in an environment that meets the following specifications, which must be maintained during operation of the same: a. Ambient temperature between 5-40 o C; b. Relative air humidity between 20-90%; 5. Keep the equipment in a dry place, not exposed to water and rain. 6. Be sure to use a power supply compatible with the specifications of the equipment. 7. Avoid using extensions, adapters to connect the equipment to the power grid. 8. Do not use cables other than those provided in the packaging equipment. Do not use the equipment if it shows any errors. The equipment can be kept indefinitely connected to the TV since kept in a dry place in shelter from light and moisture.
