Extra-Curricular Music Activities 2018-2019 For further information please contact the Music reception Telephone: 01509 283770 during term time between 8am and 4pm Email: music.office@lsf.org Ensemble details are subject to change Correct as at 25.10.18 A constantly updated version can be found at www.lsf.org/music

Extra-Curricular Music Activities All pupils of the Loughborough Schools are very welcome to join a music ensemble, whether or not they take individual tuition here. There is a huge range of groups, as you can see, ensuring that every musician can have the opportunity to engage in musical performance of an appropriate standard. Committing to an ensemble involves attending regular rehearsals and performances, and our calendar of music events runs right through to July so that you can know about planned performance dates well in advance! Any musician who is not able to attend a rehearsal because of a clash of commitments should let the ensemble leader know as soon as possible and preferably well in advance. Performance Opportunities As well as the evening (ensemble based) concerts, there are regular opportunities for soloists to perform. There are lunchtime concerts most Fridays (SoundBites for prep pupils and Lunchtime Live for seniors), and Avanti performance workshops every term. Family and friends are warmly invited to come along and support all concerts. Enhanced Music Programme Our aim here is to support the musical development of every member of the Loughborough Schools community. Our regular programme of Friday afternoon workshops, masterclasses and lectures is open to all; if there is something that tickles your fancy, then do come along. It is your music department and I very much hope that you will come along and get involved as much as you can. You will be most welcome.
