Unless otherwise marked, all notes should e played with a small amount o separation or correct stylistic interpretation. The ratchet may e perormed as loudly as possile. Perhaps it could e a eatured celerity soloist, such as an administrator, civic leader, or other non-musical guest perormer. Tromones should exaggerate the glissandi that egin in measure 17. I you have extra percussionists or lack timpani, you may sustitute or doule the timpani shell tapping with a large woodlock, and the part is cued on the Percussion 1 part. The director may decide on whether to clap, stomp, or do oth at measure 49.
