Topic: WW 2 Geography Spiritual, Moral, Social and Cultural History Locate the world s countries, using maps to focus on Europe (including the location of Russia) and concentrating on environmental regions, key physical and human characteristics, countries, and major cities. The local environment, Studland, Portland, Weymouth, and its role in World War 2. Map reading skills. Comparing maps from 1940s with today and identifying physical changes to the local environment. Identify why Studland was chosen as a practice site for D-Day. Nothe Forte visit.
