Welcome As the summer crowds disperse and the beaches empty, we re reflecting on so many great s at the Marine. The Lyme Regis Comedy Club took off faster than we could have hoped - it s now amongst the biggest in Dorset with our best audience ever in August. Looking ahead, we re very much looking forward to watching Tom Robinson, and also welcoming Martin Carthy to the stage - both are in October. Many people in our audience survey asked for more plays. We ve listened. This season we have broadened our theatre programme significantly. Particular highlights include Pop Music from Paines Plough, the acclaimed parody Withering Looks, and Lily and the Albatross for children. We have more great activities for children in half-term, including the return of our hugely popular daytime music Children Love Disco. Our cinema screenings have grown in popularity, so we have expanded the film programme. One of our particular favourites is Blue Heart, a film about the last wild rivers in Europe. The night includes a panel discussion in collaboration with the University of Exeter, National Trust, and South West Water. Lastly, please don t forget to pick up your Christmas present - free tickets for It s A Wonderful Life need to be collected in advance to ensure you get a seat! We hope to see you at the theatre this Autumn and Winter. Gabby Rabbitts Director of the Marine Theatre With thanks to our sponsors and partners: Royal Lion Hotel ~ 2 ~
