This interactive guide is not yet published, so I will be using a series of worksheets/exercises that I will post on TWEN. For you it s free, but I will be seeking your feedback throughout the class. This will include completion of a quiz online for each class. 2) This course is entitled Rules, so the most important text you will need is a copy of the Federal Rules of Civil Procedure (hereinafter Rules). There were some amendments that were adopted and take effect in Dec You need a copy of the Rules that has those 2017 amendments. So here are your options: A) First, the Rules are available free online. Some sites allow you to download or print the Rules (for example, There is also an app that has the Rules. You can also download versions of the Rules from LexisNexis or Westlaw. The LexisNexis representative will come into class week 1 and show you how to down load and save a version of the Rules for free. B) OR, second, many students prefer to have a hard copy of the Rules so you can purchase any copy you want. In the alternative, LexisNexis has agreed to provide a free FRCP booklet (I will you when they come in and you can pick them up from outside my door when they come in but please make sure to read the assigned Rules for the first class 1 even if the hard copy of the booklet is not available).
