1 PREPARING A BIBLIOGRAPHY When you write a research paper, you MUST always give credit for any information or ideas you get from another source. If you fail to give credit for materials used, whether quoted or not, you have committed plagiarism, a form of cheating punishable by penalties as severs as suspension and dismissal from school or even a fob. A bibliography is a list of sources used to complete the research paper and found at the end of the paper. Each entry is listed alphabetically by author s last name. If there is no author, list by titles first word. (A, An, The don t count.) Leave 2 spaces between, author & title, title & publishing data. The second and subsequent (following lines) are indented. Each entry in single-spaced; double-spaced between entries.
