2 Cary: Robinson Books and Periodicals: III I Colby Library Quarterly 399 ROBINSO,N BOOKS AND PERIODICALS: By RICHARD CARY nstallments I & II of this annotated registry (see preceding issues of CLQ), present all published materials in the Colby College Library written by Edwin Arlington Robinson and by others which are inscribed by him. This segment lists the publications written and inscribed by others. Only items of :evidenced association with Robinson are here included; numerous volumes belonging to his parents and brothers - available to him but which he mayor may not have read - are omitted, as are many books which he received and p,assed along to friends without mark of the transition. A strong proportion of the titles are eventuations of worksin-progress by Robinson's contemporaries at the MacDowell Colony in Peterborough, New Hampshire, where he spent the assertedly finest creative hours of his life. As his letters attest, he dutifully read and commented on these books, leaving, however, no personal trace within their covers. VI. III BOOKS BY OTHERS: INSCRIBED BY OTHERS Aiken, Conrad.
