Poem in thirty-seven rhyming couplets on rules and conventions of grammar, treating nouns, verbs, gender, number, the six tenses, moods, pronouns and prepositions. MSS 112 Berwick-on-Tweed Bridge Papal Indulgence Notification and Inspeximus by the Consistory Court of York of the indulgence granted by Boniface IX (Pope ) for those rebuilding the stone bridge over the Tweed. On vellum, 28 lines, vellum tag for seal. Granted to Sir Henry de Percy alias Hotspur ( ) who was keeper of the town and castle of Berwick and played a prominent part in border politics. In 1401 he was granted 500 from various port customs for the making of the new bridge under the supervision of the Earls of Northumberland and Westmoreland. 7
