Paul Rabinow and the Acess Road to His Anthropology of the Contemporary WU Ning Zhou Enlai School of Government Nankai University Tianjin China Abstract Paul Rabinow is an American anthropologist and he has great reputation in the domain of the anthropology of science and medical anthropology. After the trend of reflection the methodological and theoretical root of anthropology is vacillated. Paul Rabinow and his Anthropology of the Contemporary provided a new approach for anthropology study. Under this paradigm the border between anthropological practice and the event investigated is blurred the role of anthropologist is participator of social practice other than " truth" recorder. Key words Paul Rabinow anthropology reflection Anthropology of the Contemporary 37
