1 प वर ग रड क रप र शन ऑफ इ डय ल0 उ0क ष 0 1 म ख य लय, नय द ल, कटव रय सर य (जनस पकर प रभ ग) Northern Region-1HIGHLIGHTS for e Transmit for the month of March 2017 CSR 1) Bhumi Pujan for the Construction of Working Women Hostel Under CSR major initiative POWERGRID, Northern Region 1 performed Bhoomi Pujan for the construction of Working Women Hostel at Nuh Mewat.This work started with drawing layout of foundation on ground & digging pit. Bhoomi Poojan was performed by Sh. Mani Ram Sharma, DC Mewat in the presence of POWERGRID and PWD officials. Under CSR scheme the target for competing working women hostel is till end of this year. The proposed Hostel for women would be a two storey building with accommodation for 40 nos. of working women, dining hall cum common room with kichen facilities, etc. and would enable the working women to pursue their career in a better way. 2 2) Workshop on Preventive Vigilance by POWERGRID, Northern Region 1 at Jaipur. A Workshop on Preventive Vigilance was organized by Vigilance department of POWERGRID, NR 1 for Senior executives of Northern Region I from 9 th to 11 th March, 2017 at Jaipur. Ms. Seema Gupta, Executive Director, POWERGRID, NR 1 inaugurated the program and presided over the same. The training sessions were interactive with eminent faculty delivering lectures and presentations on Preventive Vigilance, Ethics and Corporate Governance. Sh. L.K. Asthana, Addl. General Manager (Vigilance), NR I emphasized the need and importance of such trainings. Sh. R.P Sasmal, Director (Operations) graced the valedictory ceremony of the Workshop. RESTORATION OF DOUBLE CIRCUIT DADRI MURADNAGAR/PANIPAT 1 LINE by NR 1 Team. On a dumper hit tower no. 52 DB=25 of 400 KV Dadri Muradnagar/Panipat transmission lines. Due to severe impact of dumper the tower got damaged and fell down on ground. Due to which upper part of tower no. 50, 51, 53 & 54 also got damaged and Conductors of 400 KV transmission lines fell on 132 KV Lal Quan Muradnagar transmission line of UPPTCL resulting tripping of this line also. Teams from Dadri & Meerut group reached at site and first of all conductors of 400 KV TL were removed from 132 KV line. After wards damaged tower was removed from the road. This 132 KV line of UPPTCL is very much critical to supply the load in Ghaziabad city and industrial area. At that time, the election in Uttar Pradesh was in progress & there was lot of pressure from Uttar

3 Pradesh Govt. to restore the 132 KV line at the earliest. The various gangs were immediately organized and the 132 KV line was restored on KV Dadri Muradnagar and Dadri Panipat transmission lines were restored by placing 8 nos. ERS towers and were charged on and The delay in line charging of above lines was mainly due to non availability of shut down of 132 KV UPPTCL line. The shutdown was required for stringing of conductor on ERS towers. The team members Mr. Prabhat Rastogi, Mr. KPS Raghav, Mr. Shravan Yadav, Mr. S.K Singh, Mr. Sanjay Yadav, Mr. SS Rawat, Mr. Brajesh Chandra, Mr. P. Surumugaran and Mr. Keshawn were involved in restoration work etc. 4) AERIAL PATROLLING VISIT OF DIRECTOR OPEARTION AT GREATER NOIDA INDOCOPTERS HELIPAD on POWERGRID is the leader for application of technology in maintenance of vast assets of transmission lines. POWERGRID is having the vast network of transmission line in all over India and crossing the toughest geography. Patrolling by man power is very much time consuming and not able to collect the data as desired as the perception of

4 the man changes from location to location. In order to maintain the vast network of transmission lines, POWERGRID has deployed the technology for aerial patrolling of transmission lines. POWERGRID has been awarded the contract for aerial patrolling to M/S Pinnacle air Pvt. Ltd. Mr. R.P. Sasmal, Director (Operation) had visited at Greater Noida indocopters helipad on for review of progress of patrolling of transmission line with officials of Pinnacle air pvt.ltd. He has interacted with pilot, engineer and helicopter maintenance staff. Mr. P.N. Dixit, ED (A.M), Mr. R. K. Arora, GM (AM NR1), Mr. R. K. Tyagi, AGM(AM), Mr Pradeep Kumar, DGM (Dadri), Mr. MadhavAnand, Manager (Dadri) and others senior officer from POWERGRID were present. The helicopter has carried out the aerial patrolling of Rihand Dadri HVDC lines and Chapa Kurukshetra HVDC line on Mr. K. P. S.
