3 As SKYFALL, the latest in the James Bond film series, opens in theaters this November, the International Spy Museum will mount a major new exhibit featuring the most memorable villains who have appeared since 007 first hit the screen in DR. NO in The interactive exhibit, "Exquisitely Evil: 50 Years of Bond Villains," will feature James Bond's chief adversaries, their henchmen, lairs, and weapons. Over 100 artifacts from the films will be on display including Zao's Jaguar XKR from DIE ANOTHER DAY, the satellite from GOLDENEYE, Jaws' teeth from THE SPY WHO LOVED ME, and Dr. No's tarantula from DR. NO. Visitors can also swim with sharks, become a villain, and create their own personal lair as part of the exhibit's many interactive displays. Walt Disney World s Fantasyland Expanding!! Depiction of Walt Disney World's Fantasyland Expansion Fueled by imagination, Florida s Magic Kingdom is getting bigger. Fantasyland, the largest expansion in Walt Disney World Resort history, is opening in phases through The new rides, shows and attractions are based on favorite movies. Storybook Circus, inspired by Dumbo, has opened at the Orlando theme park. The Enchanted Forest debuts December 6th, bringing to life the world of the Little Mermaid and Beauty and the Beast.

After a year of renovations, the interior of the Statue of Liberty will reopen on October 28. 7 A fine rehearsal technique is achieved by a conductor who has a flawless sense of pace and organization, a superbly trained musical ear, and a healthy sense of humor. In the conductor s rehearsals, the maximum amount of musical progress is achieved, coupled with a general atmosphere which makes musicians enjoy making music. A minimum of time is lost because the conductor detects and corrects exactly each musical problem dealing tactfully and firmly with his/her musicians. In turn, the ensemble feels they are working with a leader who treats them with respect. Some of the key elements which contribute to good rehearsal technique are: 1. Good Planning: The conductor should know the strengths and weaknesses of his/her musicians so he/she can select the best programs for the ensemble. The conductor should also plan the most effective rehearsal schedule for preparation of the program. 2. Good Preparation: The conductor should allow adequate time for preparation so he/she can make the best use of rehearsal time and not waste time during a rehearsal for mistakes. The conductor should know the music well enough to be able to anticipate problems that will arise, and therefore concentrate on the greatest problems at the earliest possible time. 3. Good Pacing: In order to avoid a last-minute frenzy of activity to accomplish things which should have been done earlier, the conductor should discipline his/herself to spend a given amount of time on each work according to his/her assessment of the difficulty of the work. Some conductors get overly involved with their favorite work, or a passage which inspires them at that moment and which has no more importance to the overall work than other passages which are consequently ignored. Concentrate on each passage and employ consistent gentle pressure to enable the ensemble to make steady progress throughout the preparation time for a concert. When the atmosphere of a rehearsal is too relaxed during most of the rehearsals, it is frequently followed by an explosive turnabout in attitude during the final rehearsals. Musicians appreciate knowing what is expected of them. What they do not appreciate is a conductor who is overly cordial for ninety percent of the rehearsals and a tyrant at concert time. 9 Frequently Asked Questions! Top 10 Destinations How much money should each student bring? We generally recommend $10 to $20 per meal if eating on your own. However, some meals are generally included in the trip package, so please check with your teacher/sponsor for details regarding the particular trip inclusions. Students may also want to bring additional money for souvenir shopping at your own discretion. We suggest each student bring $50 to $100 for souvenirs. Pictured above is Chicago.
