CAST BIOGRAPHIES Haley Joel Osment as Erol Haley Joel Osment recently made his stage debut in American Buffalo. One of David Mamet s signature works, it tells the story of a bungled heist by three low-lifes based out of a Chicago Pawn Shop. Also, while finishing his degree at the Tisch school at NYU, he completed work on the film MONTANA AMAZON, a dark adventure about three oddballs that is funny, scary, touching and painful - a film that speaks to the tragedy of the American Family. Haley enjoys stretching his acting experience. IN HOME OF THE GIANTS, Haley played a budding writer whose friendship is tested against the backdrop of classic Indiana basketball. He has squared off with Robert Duvall and Michael Caine in New Line Cinema s SECONDHAND LIONS. He gave an award winning performance in legendary director Steven Spielberg s, A.I.. He co-starred with Kevin Spacey and Helen Hunt in the adaptation of Catherine Ryan Hyde s novel PAY IT FORWARD, and squeezed in a trip to Poland to shoot EDGES OF THE LORD, where he portrayed a Jewish boy sent away by his parents to hide with a Catholic family during WWII Nazi occupation. Osment made an unforgettable impression on moviegoers with his devastating portrayal of the haunted Cole Sear. In the record breaking and internationally acclaimed film, THE SIXTH SENSE, Haley co-starred with Bruce Willis and Toni Colette for director M. Night Shyamalan. For his performance, Osment was nominated for an Academy Award at age eleven. He received numerous film critics awards and was nominated for a Golden Globe and a Screen Actors Guild Award. Starting his film career at age five, Osment won his first honor, the Youth in Film Award, for his role as Forrest, Jr. in the Oscar-winning feature film, FORREST GUMP. With six Emmy and four Tony nominations to his credit, he has been seen in some of the most memorable works of film, television and stage. Most recently, Garber just filmed Ben Affleck s, ARGO. He also portrayed San Francisco mayor George Moscone in Gus Van Sant s Academy Award nominated film MILK. Additional film credits

For his work on television, Garber has been nominated for six Emmy Awards, including three for the ABC drama Alias, two for comedic guest-star roles on Frasier and Will & Grace, and a nomination for his portrayal of Sid Luft in the television movie Life with Judy Garland: Me and My Shadows. He most recently guest-starred on The Big C, Nurse Jackie, Damages and Glee and starred in ABC s Eli Stone. Other credits include Fox s Justice, Laughter on the 23rd Floor, Meredith Willson s The Music Man, ABC s musical version of Annie, and The Wonderful World of Disney film Rodgers and Hammerstein s Cinderella. AMAL has won over 30 international awards, was nominated for 6 Genie awards (Canadian Academy Awards), including Best Picture, Director, and Adapted Screenplay, and was named one of the top ten Canadian films of the decade by Playback Magazine. AMAL is currently being adapted into an American remake by Harpo Films - the screenplay being written by Richie himself.

7 Richie has also directed several short films, including ALL ROADS LEAD TO HERE, SYSTEM OF UNITS, and the short film AMAL. His shorts have screened and won prizes at festivals all over the world, including Berlin, Telluride, Worldwide Shorts, Palm Springs, and the United Nations. Trained as a painter and sculptor, Richie attended the University of Toronto s Art and Art History and Cinema Studies program and Sheridan College's Advanced Television and Film program. He's been mentored by directors such as Wim Wenders, Shekhar Kapur and Brian DePalma.
