It is an open, life-long learning organization, offering face-to-face and distance education and training through its programmes, published resources, courses and activities. Alongside all these events are the opportunities to sing Passion music in Wetherby or Windsor, or get the most out of your choir in Wokingham. Choral vespers takes place in Middlesbrough, while an event for music groups, singers and instrumentalists is held in Northallerton, and Nottingham hosts Ideas for churches coping with limited musical resources. RSCM Head of Ministerial Training, Helen Bent, leads Strengthen for Service, RSCM s brand of training and refresher work with clergy and lay ministers near Grantham. This is a good time of year to recommend a Cathedral Singers or Voices choir to young (and not so young) singers. In April these regionally-based groups will get together in Peterborough to mark the 50th anniversary of the founding by Martin How of the Southern Cathedral Singers; all are most welcome to attend evensong and celebrate this milestone with us.
