SUBJECT, TIME AND PLACE 1.1 The Romics Cosplay Award of October is a prestigious cosplay parade dedicated to the great International selections; the cosplayers from all over Italy are called to compete on the stage of Romics to represent the high level of Italian Cosplay around the world. 1.2 The cosplay parade of Romics will take place on Sunday the 9th of April at 16.00, at Fair Rome. 2. REGISTRATION AND REGULATIONS 2.1 Participation in the cosplay parade is free and open to all by prior registration of each competitor and the passing of preliminary stages, with the following specific provisions regarding the age: participants must have reached a minimum age of 12. For international selection at Clara Cow 's Cosplay Cup - Animecon 2017 (Netherlands) participants must have Italian citizenship and be of age at the time of registration. 2.2 The costumes could be from comics, animation, cinema, TV series, or videogame from all over the world. For international selection at Clara Cow 's Cosplay Cup - Animecon 2017 costumes have to be taken from comics, animation or video games. Fan art characters are not allowed. 2.3 It is possible to register for the parade exclusively online, by providing at the time of registration or within the deadlines set out in the form online, the work in progress of the costume making and relative scenic presentations. The sending of work in progress is necessary for finalizing the registration. It is possible to complete the online registration form by and no later Monday 3 th of April Specifications for the work in progress presentation: send a pdf, word, or power point file, including at least three slides up to a maximum of eight. The document must include some pictures of costume making stages, preparation of props, info about possible scenography and approximate measures, adding all information, which may be useful to the jury on the evaluation of the costume. It is recalled that jury will take into account only costume and small props, scenography will not be evaluated. 2.5 You can use the onstage background screen to project videos only during the final day on Sunday April 9 th 2017, in the following way: - The video can be viewed on the screen throughout the duration of the performance or only a part of it. The video file must also contain the audio track. In the event that the video is shorter than the total duration of the performance, you may want to include still images or plain black background. - The video used will not be taken into account when it comes to judging the performances. You are allowed to use images of landscapes, buildings, interiors of buildings to complete and give a greater atmosphere to the performance; you can use images to represent explosions, lights and special effects to coordinate with any action taking place on stage. Accepted production techniques include photographs, illustrations and computer graphics. A copy of the original graphic or series/movie/video game extracts will not be admitted. The file must be in mp4 format and uploaded during online registration.

2 2.6 The online registration form will be available on Subscribers must in any case be present in New Fair Rome at the specific desk to confirm their presence and deliver the disclaimer previously stamped and signed. Minors must be in possession of a disclaimer signed by a parent combined with a copy of his identify document. During registration it s possible to indicate in the module box whether you want to participate in the selection for Clara Cow s Cosplay Cup- Animecon 2017, Netherlands (couple). Below are specific dates for selection of the said event 2.7 Each participant, single or couple, will receive a reference number that will be used during selections and during the proclamation of the finalists names. It is recommended to note down your own reference number. 2.8 A picture of the character to be interpreted must be delivered (if a couple, both characters) whether on USB support or in color paper form to the staff charged at the cosplay desk, located at pavilion 5 on the upper floor. 2.9 It is not possible to parade with two or more costumes that require a change during the performance. However, it is allowed to make use of two costumes, only and exclusively inside the on-stage performance, (e.g. wearing them one over the other), as long as related to the same character. In this case, it is not possible to enlist the help of third parties for wearing the second costume; instead, it is allowed to make use of items and/or accessories placed on the stage before the starting of the performance It is allowed to carry objects or small scene elements on the stage, with low weight and easily transportable. A maximum of 3 sets per participant, individual or group are allowed. The overall size of the sets must not exceed: 210cm height, 210cm width, 90cm depth. They are allowed a maximum of 3 sets per participant, individual or group; the overall size of the sets must not exceed: height 210 cm, width 210 cm; depth 90 cm. All items and small scene elements must be able to be transported by competitors and at most by a single companion for exhibition. Consequently, it is forbidden the use of objects or scenography involving difficulties for the entrance in the fair and in the pavilions. The companion cannot be present on the stage during the performance It is not possible to change the order of registrations. Anyone who does not appear during his own assigned turn will be eliminated from the competition For security reasons,, it is not permitted the use of any kind of dangerous material, explosive and/or inflammable, blunt instrument, that may damage third parties or the stage, soiling the stage and compromising the subsequent performances. Furthermore, it is not allowed to bring machineries or elements that may disturb the subsequent performance (e.g. smoke machine) The security staff, at its absolute discretion, has the task of taking delivery of every objects that may cause prejudice to third parties or may be considered dangerous. Objects will be returned at the exit. We recommend therefore not to bear arms, sharp objects or dangerous substances It is not possible any use of offensive language It is not allowed any use of animals during performance.

3 2.16 The Organization s decisions are final and irrevocable. The Organization, at its own unquestionable judgment, reserves the right to make changes to the date of the competition and to its location, the right to vary schedules and places of pre-selections, by giving prior notice to the participants. Those provisions will not imply any refund claims for incurred costs or other obligations in favor of the participants. In case of force majeure, the event, or sections of the same, can be deleted, without any liabilities on the part of the Organization. 3. MUSICAL AND VIDEO SUPPORTS 3.1 In case you use an audio and/or video support the related file must be uploaded with the online form. Audio only files must be in MP3 format while video files (with integrated audio) must be in MP4 format. Audio video tracks can t last longer than what expressed at point 6 a 3.2 It will not be possible to accept a single piece of music for more presentations. 3.3 Pieces will not be returned at the end of the competition. 3.4 It is recommended of keeping an USB support of the same file to be used in case of emergency. 4. SELECTION 4.1 The selection will take place exclusively on: Saturday 8 th April at 2pm where the jury will evaluate the costume design, the difficulty of implementation and fidelity to the original costume. The location of selection will be announced at a later date. 4.2 Contestants must peremptorily be present at the time indicated. 4.3 Contestants that will arrive after the scheduled time will not be admitted to selections. 4.4 Every participants, as a single or a couple, will have to take part in the selections to reach the Final on Sunday the 9 th of April. 4.5 Contestants who rely on recitation will be able to interpret just a part (a maximum of 50 seconds) of the piece prepared for the Final (see point 6). 4.6 No type of musical support is admitted during the selections. 5. RESULT OF SELECTIONS 5.1 At the end of selections on Saturday the 8 th of April by hours, the names of the finalists participating to the final competition of Romics Cosplay Award will be made public. Those selected to take part in the final on Sunday will be announced before 9pm on and all social channels 6. FINAL PARADE ROMICS COCPLAY AWARDS 6.1 The final parade 2017 at at the Pala Romics pavilion 8. The order of the parade will be decided by the organization in an unquestionable manner. All participants will have to remain in costume until the end of the award ceremony.

4 A) PARADE FOR SINGLE PARTICIPANT (FEMALE OR MALE): Every participant will be able to freely perform accompanied by the chosen music and/or acting a monologue not exceeding one minute (1 minute) of time. It is absolutely forbidden the use of microphone on stage. Participants that rely on recitation or chant must have registered their performance. B) PARADE FOR PARTICIPANTS IN PAIRS (two persons) Groups will be able to freely perform accompanied by the chosen music and/or acting an extract not exceeding 2.30 minutes (two minutes and thirty seconds) of time. It is absolutely forbidden the use of microphone on stage. Participants that rely on recitation or chant must have registered their performance. 7. JURY 7.1 Jury will examine the participant based on the following categories: - Costume: design, difficulties in implementation, faithfulness to the original costume. - Performance, interpretation of the character in its typical attitudes, faithfulness to the original source, ability to entertain. 7.2 Le decisioni della Giuria sono inappellabili. 8. I PREMI The awards provided by the organization, assigned by the jury are the following: 1 AWARD ROUND-TRIP AIR TICKET TO JAPAN FOR ONE PERSON with the following specifications: - The award ticket must be used within one year (April 2018). - The winner must communicate the dates of travel to the organization at least three months before the departure; - In case of non-embarkation the winner must notify it to the organization, which is not obliged to sustain additional costs. - Il vincitore dovrà comunicare le date del viaggio all organizzazione minimo 3 mesi prima della partenza; - In caso di mancato imbarco il vincitore deve comunicarlo all organizzazione e la stessa non è tenuta a sostenere i costi di un ulteriore biglietto aereo. - The choice of the airline, the times and modalities of travel are established by the organization; - Health insurance and any other insurance are borne by the winner. - All expenses, not specifically provided by the organization, are intended to be entirely borne by the winner; - Economy class air ticket. - The ticket is not transferable. - The award ticket will be assigned to a single male or female person.

5 CLARA COW S COSPLAY CUP SELECTION - ANIMECON 2017 NETHERLANDS. During the Romics Cosplay Award, Italian representatives will be selected for the international selection Clara Cow 's Cosplay Cup - Animecon 2017 (Netherlands). The selected will have to be of age at the time of the Romics Cosplay Award. Each country will be represented by a team of two cosplayers. The costumes will be taken from comic books, animation and video games from all over the world. Fan art characters are not permitted. All event rule and regulations will be announced to the selected in due course. DISQUALIFICATION 9.1 La Failure to heed one or more of the above-mentioned rules or the lack of respect towards the organization and/or the public will bring to immediate disqualification of single participants or groups. 9.2 Non-acceptance of this regulation will be a cause of exclusion from the Cosplay parade. All participants are therefore invited to examine the afore-mentioned regulation, in order not to incur a disqualification. 9.3 The organization will make available to the public a specific area to attend the final; however, in the case of overcrowding, or in any other situation provided by safety rules, or arranged by the public authority, priority access will be given to the participants. 9.4 The organization do not assume any responsibility for stage materials, abandoned or left unattended within the trade fair spaces. 9.5 The organization reserves the right to exclude participants who have caused public order problems or deliberately slowed the running of the competition. Unsporting or offensive behaviors will be equally penalized. 10. RELEASING 10.1 Registration will have the value of releasing towards the coordinators of the Romics Cosplay Award (Fiera Roma and ISI.Urb) for the use of photographic materials, video recordings and similar The Organization of Romics Cosplay Award holds the right to publish, produce, transmit, communicate and use any photographic materials, video recordings and similar, in order to promote the event, and permit its spread, for promotional and commercial purposes, on any type of transmission (public or

6 private platforms, satellite, web, telecommunications/mobile), on any type of format (DVD, digital, etc.) and any type of print. The organization holds the copyright of all photographic and video images relating to Cosplay Parade of Romics, and all photographic and video materials shooted within the event, including the image rights of the competitor that with the following authorizes on a free basis the exploitation, as well as the economic exploitation, of all costumes realized by the competitor and his image right. As from now, participants accept that in any case they will benefit from any financial compensation for the producing of DVD, web pages, or any other type of printed or multimedia material If the participant is minor, he/she shall deliver in Fiera a copy of the identification document of a parent with written proxy and original signature, under pain of not admission to the pre-selections and to the competition.
