Theard Street, Covington, LA 70433, until 2:00 p.m., Wednesday, July 9, 2008, on Equipment and Supplies for Information Technology Department. Additional information and specifications will be furnished prospective bidders upon request at the School Board office. Each bid shall be sealed in an envelope clearly marked on the outside, BID ON EQUIPMENT/SUPPLIES FOR INFORMATION TECHNOLOGY July 9, All bids shall be accompanied by a bid bond, certified check, cashier s check, or money order in the amount of five hundred ($500.00). A Performance Bond in the amount of five hundred ($500.00) will be required from the successful bidder(s). At time and place stated above, all bids on hand will be publicly opened and read aloud. Any bid received after date and hour shown above will be returned unopened to the bidder. The St. Tammany Parish School Board reserves the right to reject any and all bids, adjust quantities by increasing or decreasing, and to waive all informalities. ST. TAMMANY PARISH SCHOOL BOARD COVINGTON, LOUISIANA The St. Tammany Parish School Board will receive sealed bids until 2:00 p.m., Wednesday, July 9, 2008 on Equipment and Supplies for Information Technology Department in accordance with the following instructions and attached specifications. * * * * * * * * * * 1. Bids shall be submitted on the attached form. Any bid on any item shall include a unit price, as well as the name of the manufacturer and the model number. Unit prices shall be binding. The prices offered on this bid must be good through June 30, Exception: Items 68 through 74, prices to be good through December 31, After the initial order of equipment, individual orders may be placed as needed. 2. All bids shall be sealed in an envelope clearly marked on the outside, BID ON EQUIPMENT/SUPPLIES FOR INFO TECHNOLOGY-July 9, In order to be compliance with Louisiana Revised Statute 38:2212.A.(1)(c), all bids shall be either hand delivered or sent by registered or certified mail with a return receipt requested to the St. Tammany Parish School Board Office, 321 N. Theard Street, Covington, LA All bids arriving after the stated date and hour will be returned unopened to the bidders. No bid may be withdrawn for at least thirty (30) days after the scheduled closing time for the receipt of bids. 3. Bids shall include all delivery charges to the various schools and other School Board locations within St. Tammany Parish. 4 ALL BIDS SHALL BE ACCOMPANIED BY A BID BOND, CERTIFIED CHECK, CASHIER S CHECK, OR MONEY ORDER IN THE AMOUNT OF FIVE HUNDRED DOLLARS ($500.00). BIDS WILL NOT BE CONSIDERED UNLESS THE REQUIRED CHECK OR BID BOND IS ATTACHED. 5. A Performance Bond in the amount of five hundred ($500.00) will be required from the successful bidder(s). 6. If bidding other than as specified, model numbers, catalog cuts, descriptive literature, and detailed specifications must be included in your bid packet. 7. Preference, in accordance with LA Revised Statute 38:2251, will be given to Louisiana products, materials, supplies or equipment. As a bidder you must indicate on your bid response that the product for which you are claiming this preference meets the criteria of a Louisiana product.

3 8. Cash discounts, if offered, will be taken into consideration in determining the low bidder. DISCOUNT LESS THAN THIRTY (30) DAYS WILL NOT BE CONSIDERED IN MAKING ANY AWARD. Beginning date for discount period shall be determined by date of invoice or date of delivery of merchandise whichever occurs last. 9. It is the intent of the specifications to invite bids on high quality merchandise. Mentioning a brand, manufacturer and number is done only to establish the standard or quality desired. It is not the intent to eliminate brands of equal quality but instead to set forth and convey to prospective bidders the general style, type, character, and quality of the product desired. 10. The School Board reserves the right to select a higher priced item where, in the judgement of the School Board, such item is of superior quality or design or would be more suitable for the purpose intended.
