1 PK4-K 4:00p-5:45p 4:00-5:45pm Art Factory $195 Dance Musical Theatre Advanced Theatre for TAT students only Spring 2019 Broadway Arts Reach Catalog This D-I-Y class is for all you artsy-craftsy kids who love to express yourselves with one-of-a-kind masterpieces like canvas art, bead making, and watercolors. Find your inner artist and keep your creativity sharp this school year as we design many mementos to be treasured. Class Limit:20 Class assists the young dancer in identifying basic forms of movement through imaginative games, songs, music and rhythmical patterns while fostering independence. Students will be introduced to the concepts of body, energy, space, & time as well as encouraged to take direction from the instructor and share turns with peers. We will explore the world of dance and have a great time doing it! **Suggested attire: Girls should wear a black dance leotard and shorts. They will need pink ballet shoes, black patent leather tap shoes, a bag to keep shoes in and hair pulled back. Boys should wear shorts, a comfortable T-Shirt. They will also need black ballet shoes or black grip socks. For tap they would wear black tap shoes. Long hair should be pulled back and a bag will be needed to carry their shoes. Class Limit: 15 Musical Theatre is a true American born art form and it is AWESOME. The students learn to sing, dance, and act; a real triple threat! It is a great tool to build confidence, self- esteem, poise, collaboration, improvisation and character development. Students will develop an understanding of how music is used to convey character and emotion, and how that understanding can help strengthen and inform their action choices. Students will learn how dance and movement contribute to musical storytelling and become familiar with basic choreography. Closing Culminating Event: Students will rehearse and perform a Musical Theatre production called: A-Z Does it. Total # of students accepted for this class: 26 Advanced Theatre Class for the ACS TAT students will help continue and enhance their growth and skills in the world of Theatre Arts. Acting exercises, Advanced Theatre Games, Readers Theatre, creating original plays & skits, improvisation, stage managing, and preparation for auditions. Culminating Event: students participating in this particular class will perform in the end of the year 30 th Annual Celebration of the Arts in May. Students demonstrate various theatre techniques through Readers Theatre, Musical Theatre, monologues, original skits, etc. Total # of students accepted for this class: 35

COURSE OBJECTIVES: Students will learn basic music concepts and how to read music, care for their instrument, how to practice effectively, set goals and so much more. Anyone interested in learning a string instrument (violin, viola, or cello) No experience in music is necessary (though it s a plus!) COURSE OBJECTIVES: Students will know basic music concepts and how to read music. Students will learn how to take care of their instrument, including daily. maintenance, tuning, and how to store their instrument when it s not being played. Students will learn how to practice effectively, how to set goals, and how to develop healthy practice habits and so much more. Students will learn how to sing with proper posture and safe technique. Students will learn how to sing songs as part of an ensemble. By the end of the semester, the group will perform as a group in a fun and encouraging concert setting. While exploring engineering, architecture and physics, students will follow a model plan to build exciting things such as motorized amusement park rides, space models, and animals, while developing problem solving and critical thinking skills. Each class begins with a teacher-led discussion related to the model of the day, followed by structured building, then creative play time. Taught by Ms. Catherine Sarenac. $210/child for 10 sessions. Class meets on s from 4-5pm beginning January 31-May 9, 2019, excluding holidays. Soccer Shots is an engaging non-competitive children's soccer program with a focus on character development. Our caring team positively impacts children's lives on and off the field through best-in-class coaching, curriculum and communication. Soccer Shots utilizes creative and imaginative games to focus on basic soccer skills like dribbling, passing and shooting. We also highlight a positive character trait each session such as respect, teamwork and appreciation. Parents receive weekly s about what their children learned that week in Soccer Shots and all registered children receive an Adidas co-branded jersey at the beginning of the season. NOLASCHOOLOFMUSIC In this class you will be able to learn all the fundamentals of cheerleading. It will improve self-confidence, physical health, and teamwork skills all while having a ton of fun! Students will learn and refine the art of voice projection, cheer motions, jumps and beginner's tumbling and stunting. (mats and proper guidance will be used) There will also be cheers, chants, and choreography that are full of excitement and energy. Attire for class: shorts, biker shorts/pants, t-shirt, tennis shoes. Hair out of face in ponytail. Pom poms will be provided for each student Class Limit: 30 Come discover, experiment, and create as we learn about the colliding worlds of art and science in this STEAM-based class. We will create simple machines, learn about crystals and minerals, and dabble in the world of robots. Put on your lab coat and grab your art supplies because this STEAM class will rock your world. Our mission is to spark the imagination and curiosity of children through fun, hands-on science programs that instill a clear understanding of what science is really about and how it affects the world around them. Children will learn how to explore, question, and test their theories through unique experiments and dazzling demonstrations. Class Limit: Pk4-K is 15; 1 st - 3 rd is 20 Our training/after School program is geared toward individual player s development through a non-competitive environment. The students will participate in the following areas: skill challenge drills, passing, shooting while developing good sportsmanship and sharing with other team members. Class Limit: 22 This soccer training/ After School Program is designed to develop players who want to compete. The FC NOLA Elite Soccer training follows the same curriculum that FC NOLA's travel teams utilize. The curriculum used has been developed through FC NOLA s relationships with developmental clubs in France, the Netherlands and Italy. If you feel this program is what you would like to have presented to your child and you have not received and then accepted an invitation, please contact Coach Bert directly via bert@fcnola.com. This class has an extra fee of $185 that will be paid directly to FC NOLA Soccer. You will receive more information about this extra fee after registration is complete. Class Limit: 18
