2 LOST IN TRANSLATION: EYE TRACKING IN TRANSLATION PROCESS RESEARCH Are translations read in a different way compared to originals in the same language? Reading for translation differs from other reading tasks. Translators reading behavior is not as linear as regular reading. The regressions while reading in a translation tasks show that translators analyze compound nouns and named entities or abbreviations while reading and they jump back in order to figure out the cohesive ties of the source text (Hansen-Schirra 2013).

10 My fellow citizens: I stand here today humbled by the task before us, grateful for the trust you have bestowed, mindful of the sacrifices borne by our ancestors. I thank President Bush for his service to our nation, as well as the generosity and cooperation he has shown throughout this transition We remain a young nation, but in the words of Scripture, the time has come to set aside childish things. The time has come to reaffirm our enduring spirit; to choose our better history; to carry forward that precious gift, that noble idea, passed on from generation to generation: the God-given promise that all are equal, all are free, and all deserve a chance to pursue their full measure of happiness.
11 BARACK OBAMA: LINGUISTIC STRATEGIES THE IMPORTANCE OF CONTEXT! tqwe << Good evening, everybody. It is an honor to be here at my last -- and perhaps the last -- White House Correspondents' Dinner. (Laughter and applause.) You all look great. The end of the Republic has never looked better. (Laughter and applause.) I do apologize -- I know I was a little late tonight. I was running on C.P.T. -- (laughter) -- which stands for "jokes that white people should not make." (Laughter and applause.) It's a tip for you, Jeff. (Laughter.)>>
