6 ACRA MISSION Monitor -- and report on legal, public policy, and legislative issues affecting the car rental industry Advocate -- and lobby on behalf of the car rental industry with elected officials, regulators, consumer advocates and other key stakeholders at the federal and state levels Educate -- through the ACRA website, Auto Rental News and to inform members about recent industry developments; and, Support -- provide services to ACRA members to support their companies and enhance their bottom lines.
7 ACRA Membership Car Rental Operator Members ACRA represents 98% of the car rental industry with companies that have as few as 10 cars and as many as 2M Associate Members ACRA is supported by numerous suppliers to the industry and these vendors are the only organizations that ACRA recommends
8 ACRA s Success Legislative Federal and State Organized industry opposition to, and defeat of, countless federal and state bills Led fight against proposals for new or augmented discriminatory taxes; Organized support for uniform federal recall safety legislation Provided for unified voice of the industry on Capitol Hill.
