It is critical that you participate in your Orientation program. We will take you through activities tailored specifically for you, including compulsory OH&S sessions, gallery studio inductions, more generalised sessions on how to manage your enrolments a tour of the campuses to ensure you know where you need to be for classes in week one! Students in our Bachelor of Acting for Stage Screen program our Bachelor of Music Theatre are required to bring shoes/clothing/equipment along to the Dance Streaming session in Orientation (see below). We have full details of the Orientation program available online, make sure you check this out come along. Good luck in your studies for 2018! KickStart Grants A grant is a one-time supply of goods or equipment to assist students with the most needs with their studies or placement. A number of different grants are available e.g. books, uniforms, computers placement. To apply, complete the online KickStart registration. You will then be notified via if you are eligible for the grants you have applied for. These are compulsory items required for both class assessment work. Coloured clothing is not to be worn in ballet classes, dance assessments presentations. If students already have dance shoes that are different in style to those above they may be worn in class only, but MUST have the uniform requirements for assessments. The Pas de Deux ballet store will fit order all of the above items for you, at a % discount to Arts Academy students. They are situated at 229A Kline St, Ballarat East 3350, hours Tues- Fri.00am-2.00pm, 4.00pm-6.00pm. Sat.00am- 4.00pm. If you are unable to purchase these items in Ballarat please be very certain of the style colour of items before purchasing them elsewhere. Please be aware that a level of fitness will be required to take part in this program - your placement in classes will be streamed according to your abilities where extra training is required. Please make sure that you have your own NAMED water bottle which is refillable. First Year Students: Please ensure that you have all of these items by the end of Orientation Week. You will also need the following items on a regular basis for ushering duties: Men Black pants, black leather shoes, white shirt. Women Black pants, black shoes, neat white or black tops or shirts Remember that you will be representing the Arts Academy to the public that a neat clean appearance is essential at all times.
