2 AET 347 / TD 388L Projection Design This course is a skills based course centered on the successful implementation of projections within the live performance field. Students will gain an understanding of projection elements including engineering and design. Students will learn through the use of lectures, computer aided drafting, and physical equipment installation. This class will explore not only theatrical performances, but a variety of live performance avenues. Fall 2017 live performance. Students learn the skills needed to implement various projection and playback equipment. Fall 2017 AET 360C / TD354T Entertainment System Design This course offers students hands-on training with industry leading products including Hog4 from High End Systems, d3 media server, and QLab. Students learn skills necessary to program each piece of software, as well as create independent networks for show control. Projects begin as primarily skills based, and evolve into incorporating design and narrative elements. This class will explore not only theatrical performances, but a variety of live performance avenues. Fall 2017 live performance. Students learn the skills needed to implement various projection and playback equipment. Spring 2017 AET 317 Foundations of Interactive Software This course introduces students to the core technologies of live performance. Students are introduced to the tools and technologies prevalent in four specific applications of New Performance Technology: 3D Projection Mapping, Intelligent LED lighting and Pixel Mapping, Interactive and Generative Imagery, and 3D Previsualization. Students are provided the opportunity to explore each of these areas of technology through dedicated lecture and laboratory time. Spring 2017 live performance. The course covers the following topics: informative speaking, persuasive speaking, communication competence, communication anxiety, research and gathering, visual aids, and communication ethics. Fall 2011 Additional Teaching: Instructor Stagecraft Institute of Las Vegas Instructor of content creation for live performance. Students gained hands on training of Adobe Photoshop, Adobe Premiere Pro, and Adobe After Effects. Class topics included beginner and advanced software capabilities, as well as common practices and applications within the live performance industry Projection Design Fundamentals Workshop McKinney Independent School District This workshop focuses on the system components for live entertainment projections. Topics discussed included: projectors, playback control, projection surfaces, and signal distribution. This workshop was presented to McKinney ISD teachers and administrators Content Creation Workshop McKinney Independent School District This workshop focuses on the process for creating or acquiring imagery to be utilized as content for a production. Participants gained an understanding of copyright laws as well as various methods used to create original content. This workshop was presented to McKinney ISD students A Picture is Worth a 1000 Words.
