The film explores the unexamined history of LGBT oppression during Spain s fascism regime, and places it within the larger human rights struggle to find some justice for Franco s victims. But how does a country excavate a past that is actively suppressed? While some of their elders opt for identity closure, this film evokes the challenge awaiting these children to integrate into current society, in the face of terrorist attacks.
